[The sound of a racing engine is audible in the background.]

[Soon after, the Autobot engineer joins him on that roof. He approaches to within . . . a "comfortable" distance to start with, neither threatening nor letting himself be possibly threatened.]

Magnum.

[His tone is neutral as he gives a nod of greeting - no trace of hostility, but he's not being exactly "friendly" either. "Business-like" is probably the best way to put it.]

[Megatron could not help noticing that something was...off from when he'd last spoken to Wheeljack...and as he stepped forward to peer at the device his internal warnings ticked a note with him. It was possible that this was rigged....]

[Megatron felt the mech drop in behind him, Wing's energy signature registering once he was in range. Instead of turning...he merely glanced over his shoulder, confirming that there was yet another device to try. Another chance to succeed.]

I've seen the sunrise. Once.

It felt...warm.

[He'd not seen Wing in the light, before...and even in the slightly processed wavelengths he felt the Knight was almost too bright to look at. He'd been repaired, too...and well.]

You had to miss many. [He smirked, knowing that the imagery he saw of Crystal City had been underground.] Don't miss the ones here. I have...never seen a sunrise from Zone 1, but I hear they are spectacular...and you have the luxury of being able to visit that sector without being jailed.

[He did, too, of course. He'd needed to go up there to meet with Logan, and to offer the small blue cubes Megamind had sent him...But that was usually when it was dark for a good reason.]

So you did. And your honor remains intact.

[Well, this is where it got messy. It didn't seem as though the inverse Soundwave really wanted Magnum to know about his involvement in the operation - But at the same time, Optimus was definitely not a communications expert. Getting Soundwave's signature without slipping why he needed it...

I need the data you have about Soundwave's energy signature - I think that I've found someone who will help us.

No - This was helping everyone, if they could track down Soundwave. That was why he'd agreed to assist in the first place.]

They just... don't want to be directly involved in the operation.

Who did you find? There aren't many other options.

[He wondered if Optimus would say...and wondered if he didn't already have a strong suspicion. It...could not be that, though.]

[Not really what he had in mind, but if he got the codes in person, he could easily send them to Soundwave. Magnum may not have been able to encrypt the files without his own Communications Officer, but Optimus trusted that the inverse counterpart would be able to do so for his own data transfer.

The idea of meeting with a Megatron didn't sit well with him, but... at the same time, Optimus didn't believe that Magnum would offline him. It would be counter-productive to his cause, and risked losing the help he'd gained for the operation.

Then again, Optimus also hadn't expected Dirge to return for a round two, and tear the Matrix from his chest. Maybe his judgement wasn't as sound as he'd like to believe it was.]

I found one of those options. They have no intentions of compromising your operation - This will help everyone, if we can locate Shockwave.

[Rolling out to those coordinates. Now wasn't the time for second guessing - He could do that later.]
