Effing long post of Megatron, returned.

[The post is video. Magnum is clean looking and well-kept, with some red smudges on his hands and face from helping paint a hardware store. He looks calm, and serious, but there is an edge to his voice that speaks of barely restrained attitude, and a slight twitch of his fingers like they're just waiting to transform into weapons. The cycle of ( Read more... )

Thank you, Magnum. I will continue to bring you credit. I assure you choosing the original over my clone is a choice you will not regret.

I will see about detaining Barricade. No need for the reward.

Primus knows it would be difficult for you to make more mistakes than he did. [He growls.]

My, but aren't you forthright. [A smirk.] I like that in an Air Commander.

Yes, well. My regret that I even spawned such a worthless creature. It is my shame, really. My own Skywarp is more useful than he is. Mmmm. How sad.

I do try, Magnum. And I appreciate that you appreciate me. Feels good to be in a job where I am valued.

Dirge has his uses. But he has not earned his place.

But isn't that part of why we started our war? Autobot society places no value on the traits necessary for conquest and survival--the very sort of values that make a species great.

However, that does remind me--how many of your clones are here?

I suppose he's not completely worthless if you know how to control him. But that is a matter in and of itself. Did you know he brought me an oilcake with a file inside while I was in the hospital? It baffles me to this very day.

Exactly. Unappreciated for everything we've done. So long as they hold the power of council. Those lowly petrorats. Forcing us to fight for their own lazy existence. Pathetic, really. What a waste of parts.

My- oh. Seven, actually. Sunstorm, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust and...

Slipstream.

He's easy to control, since Lugnut worked out a points system. It is a marvelous piece of manipulation...mostly based in how little Dirge cares what he is obtaining, so long as he obtains.

It was incredibly effective using energon cubules.

[But he still growls and nods to the revolutionary words. They're true, regardless of universe.]

And how many of them are present in the Nexus?

How truly sad for him. I suppose that is why he did not receive any of my self-respect.

Dirge, Sunstorm and Skywarp are present as of now.

You do not like him?

[It was a simple question, but he was curious for elaboration.]

...
[And that received more consideration, also.]
Do you have any sway over them?

Upon my arrival he demanded my respect and them promptly tried to kill me with the notion that it would make him "whole", as it were. Ever since then he has stalked me, breaks into my dwelling and attacks me at random.

So I guess the short answer is no, I pretty much despise him.

[A beat.]

Sway? Sunstorm listens to me, as does Skywarp. I have no sway over Dirge, however. Not directly, anyway. They do have minds of their own, however. For all intents and purposes, they are individuals.

I'm impressed. That's an incredible amount of incentive from one of your brethren.

Still, he hasn't yet succeeded--leaving me sure I've made the better choice.

[He nods, though, taking this information as it comes.] Would you want to bring them along?

Hrhn. He lacks creativity and the ability to learn.

Indeed, you have.

... Perhaps. I do not know how useful they would be, but I suppose at my beck and call, they could prove beneficial.

He has been trying. Unless you think he's completely hopeless? I have noticed that he does have many of your traits--your speed in air, your deductive capabilities, your appraisal of objects...

But think on it. You are clear to extend an invitation to them if you so desire.

And yet he lacks what is key to truly succeed. If he could move past the overwhelming desire to have, then he could be quite formidable.

Then I shall, sir. Without a doubt, I will speak to them on it.

...he wants a spark.

[He...pauses.]

And, actually, I have not yet heard from him. I wonder how that is going...

[And you get a nod, which is his acknowledgment that you will carry things out as you say.]

He's insane. He wants to slay me thinking it will somehow make him whole. I have told him I have nothing to offer him- and yet he persists. He thinks he can steal my spark even though I-

... told him that's. Stupid and would never work.

He's dangerous and not in the good way.

[...what a suspicious pause there, Starscream.]

Your clones cannot be killed because they lack a spark, Starscream. I would think that yours would serve to make him whole, in a matter of speaking...

...though, in that same matter, if your spark was in him, would you not just take over his form?

Still.

You have reminded me.

Those fragments which gave your clones life--do you have more of them?
