[The image winks on to show an almost painfully tidy office. We say almost because there's a corkboard with vast numbers of scribbled notes and emblems, none of them particularly Cybertronian, hanging on one visible wall. Of course, that's behind the armored and helmeted figure who's just turned the transmitter on and leaned back into its chair, ( Read more... )

[Verity chokes on her morning latte--one good thing about Beakyfais is he did get a top-of-the-slaggin' LINE coffee machine for the office.]

Bit like the time I had to explain 'bonk' means something different to bicyclists than to Brits. first_of_steel August 5 2010, 14:53:09 UTC
That's what they called themselves.

I didn't think anyone used names like that outside of pulp movies and the occasional children's novel.

Well...they sound like an interesting group of young ladies.

For bicyclists it's when your blood sugar runs out. "Hitting the wall". I guess the wall goes 'bonk. first_of_steel August 5 2010, 16:33:35 UTC
They apparently realized my armor wasn't attached to a mech, and they wanted a look at how the T-51b's systems work. I don't really like the idea of having my only suit taken apart without verifying the skills and motives of the people with wrenches, so I wanted to find out what I could about them before answering yes or no.

Two of their representatives- I don't think either one was more than fifteen- approached me today at my hostel to express an interest in my suit of power armor. I'm looking into whether or not they're a legitimate group of technology fans, or something else I should be aware of.

...Huh. That's very strange. I'm not sure I'd want to let them get a closer look at the armor, if I were you. It's very complicated and they could break it if they don't have the skill to treat it correctly.

Especially considering how different the local technology is. I hate to disappoint them entirely, but... I'm going to have to find out more about them before I let them do anything.
