I. [Video] Origination

Jul 29, 2010 07:44

[the video starts with a pair of red-orange optics gazing at the comm - and then pulling back to fully reveal the helm and upper body. a dark-blue black mech with highlights of white and red, it's difficult to read his expression with a mask over the lower half of his face. when he speaks, his voice is a deep, resonating bass...and it is as cold as ( Read more... )

[...Primus, for the tiniest of moments he was reminded of deep, smouldering optics and the scent of burning metal. This is the opposite--but the feeling is very, very much the same, and he would rather shake it off.]

...such a thing...does. Exist.

This is far, far from it.

Who...are you?

[He's almost afraid to know the answer, but, at least here, the idea of demigods showing up seems almost tame and manageable somehow.]

[now here is the question. does he play along with those who tried to force a new name upon him...or does he completely reject them, without knowing rules or consequences?]

...I am Nemesis.

[...we'll go for middle ground.]

Not...mine...I hope?

[Literal is literal.]

Not at present.

[he seems...morbidly amused by Jetfire's reactions.]

And you are?

...possessing of a high adversarial potential, then?

[This is mostly to himself, as he does some calculations on how likely the red optics and horns were to cause trouble--and decides he doesn't like the results.]

I am Jetfire: Primax 404.02 Gamma. Did...this illegal portal give you any designation?

[no response to the first question - just an amused glint of his optics. as for the second-] Primax 1005.19 Gamma. I can but assume this is some way of categorizing those here - do you know more?

I know as much as I am capable of finding out, and have taken the time to do some further extrapolations for my own benefit...

The prefix references several different origin points that extend into prehistory, which produced vastly differing universal liness that can only be comparative if squinted at--the common ones being Primax, Malgian, and Tyran, which are easily differentiated by body-type...
Primaxes are boxy, Malgians are sleek, Tyrans are....[He searches for an appropriate term, and just defaults to:]...spiky.

The numbers refer to the instant of displacement of each timestream within the greater multiverse...

And, as far as I can tell, the suffixes tend to reference parallel streams within their domain, often with differing origin points that occur after prehistory, but sharing significant common threads with other suffixes of the same prefix.
That, or it just has something to do with resolution.
Some mechs are, um...more....defined than others ( ... )

[Nemesis is clearly paying attention to Jetfire's words. precious information he's been unable to obtain...you are proving of use to him.]

Continue.

I...can.

But I should probably ask your intentions for the information before it is conveyed.

'Should'?

Under whom do you serve, Jetfire? There was a time not long ago when Cybertron followed my guidance and thrived for it. I brought unto my planet a golden age, the likes of which had never been seen before - the species was at its peak, and pushing further.

My intentions still serve such.

[in a very, very twisted way.]

I....serve Cybertron.

[This...makes him quiet, though. It sounds like a Prime, and it sounds like a Megatron, all rolled into one. The whole 'illegal portal' thing doesn't help.]

The 1015.19 Primax Gamma stream ended with a war-torn Cybertron, uninhabitable by mechs. [Having one for a room-mate proved useful from time to time.] Are you from before that time?

Cybertron was more than intact when I left it upon the Ark.

...the Ark?

[...well, that hits close to home. HIS Prime left on the Ark, when Cybertron desperately needed more resources....]

Why did you go?

To seek new worlds.

[and conquer them. BUT ENOUGH ABOUT HIM-]

How long have you been here?

Reply

bymycalculation July 29 2010, 18:30:39 UTC
53 Solar cycles, approximated for the time allowed for processing.

[That...had been too long, really.]

....

Did you find any?

[Deathly curiosity shows no limits, even in the face of...well. Um. Death.]
