Looks like you've got one of the Firelizards to- Man, I so so cant believe I missed out!
[Blink. Well, that wasnt the oddest thing to ask, in her opinion- but still, not exactly expected.]
Uh, well, while technically I'm still eight, I suppose I still kinda count as a sixteen year old.
[She looks thoughtful, and hums to herself.]
Hmmm... I'm pretty sure that we're suppose to like, go to school and stuff- and maybe get a part-time job or something. I know some girls were working at Burgerbot- but I havent seen any fast-food places around here yet. Then again, I wasnt really looking.
The firelizards? [She blinked, and looked at the tiny Temeraire again...and then suddenly understood.] Oh! No...this...
...this is different, I think. [She had no idea what to do with him, either, but he seemed to be patiently inspecting crayons with her, helping out, so she couldn't complain for the moment.]
[But meeting someone else who was not their real age was, actually, very relieving.] Really? I'm only two, myself, but it didn't seem a good idea to introduce myself that way. How did you grow up? [She wasn't a Nobody, that was certain--but maybe it was normal for girls to not age traditionally here?]
Oh, wait, you're new like I am! [She smiled.] Where is it that you've been staying?

Oh?
[Now that she looks closer, it does look a bit different from the one she saw.]
Two? Whoa- so you arnt a normal human either, then?
Um, I kinda tried to 'upgrade' myself with my key- I wasnt exactly sure what would happen, but this defiantly wasnt it.
[She grins back.]
Yeah- my friend, Optarus, has a place he shares with a few others, and so it wasnt too hard to find a place. Not sure what I'm gonna do for work though-- I've only had to worry about Tutor-bot up until now.
Its alright I've had issues with them too. x-xart_and_sou1June 8 2010, 19:10:21 UTC
Miss Pepper thinks I might be able to work as a secretary or translator...
And Mister J says I should probably be in school...
But I feel so...strange...just pretending everything is 'normal.' What if I leave, tomorrow?
[Its been worrying her, a lot, even if she still can't get her portals to work right....but it suddenly becomes a lot less worrying with what is said next.]
With...with your key? [She suddenly sits up, clutching at the communicator with knuckles even whiter than her usual white.] You were chosen by the keyblade? [There'd be terror, if she felt emotions that had that sort of strength. As it is, she's suddenly very cautious--keyblade wielders did not have a particularly pleasant history in terms of Nobodies. Sora and Riku were exceptions.]
I wouldnt really worry about that-- if you're sent back soon,(which, apparently, isnt very likely) then what difference does it make? I mean, it shouldnt be too hard to get back into the swing of things, right?
[She's not exactly happy with the situation, but having a few familiar faces have made it easier to adjust.]
Yea- wait, what? Not sure what a keyblade is, but the allspark of my universe chose me to guard some of it's power, in the form of a key.
[She notices now how tense Namine is, then, and quickly turns concerned.]
Hey- you okay-? You look like you've seen a ghost or something.
[She takes it out of her pocket, and shows it to the screen. She knew it was just a normal piece of metal now, but she couldnt seem to part with it and the memories attached.]
[Seeing the other girl grin, she cannot help but smile.] That, and it would have been this long! [She holds her arms out a moderate length apart, indicating about 4 feet of key, and laughing a bit at how silly it seemed, compared to the one that she was holding. Hers was much, much more useful looking.]
When you became sixteen. [That makes...a great deal more sense, then. Powerful artifacts could sever reality. It was how she had been created, too.] Maybe...if...we're about the same age...we could go and look for a school together? That way we can at least pick out the best one.
[At the length indicated, she laughs brightly.] Ohman-- I cant imagine carrying THAT around in my pocket-! OR my neck!
[Calming down a bit, she nods- then absolutely beams at the suggestion. Despite her father's efforts, she had always been a bit of an outcast among her peers, and having the opportunity to hang out with someone her age, and that seemed to be in a similar situation as she (and wasnt a giant transforming robot) made her ecstatic.]
That sounds great! When should we meet up-- Where should we meet up--? We should probably start looking from Zone 2 down, 'cause that's probably where'd they keep some of the better schools if they have some-- Maybe we can get lunch while we're out- or something- or---
You should have seen the doors it was supposed to open. [Managing a grin is harder than it seems, but she's got a very wide smile now.]
[This is...actually...really exciting for Namine, too. She's never gotten to do anything even remotely normal, and her closest companions were a boy who'd forgotten her, an old man who was trying to kill her, and another boy who was trapped in the body of an adult. It...made life complicated.]
[Its even better that this other girl seems to be interested, though! Oh, goodness, and they didn't even know each other's names yet.]
I'm Namine, and...I'm so sorry I forgot to say that, sooner. I'm supposed to be working for Mister Temeraire later this afternoon, but we should get together tomorrow! I don't have any plans, then, and I'm sure Miss Pepper would give me some money for lunch. Then we can take as much time as we need!
I can only imagine! [Thats okay, because Sari is grinning enough for the both of them.]
Oh- Duh! Sorry- I'm always forgetting to introduce myself- I'm Sari, its great to meet you Namine! And that sounds great- we're gonna have such a blast.
I do. He was going to show me how to help him with tasks he didn't know how to do, and pay me a little for it. I'm sure he wouldn't mind some extra hands--do you want to learn how to wash a dragon?
Really? I'd love to! I've been wanting to come over to his place and meet his fire-lizard--( did you know that little guy is going to be able to fly-?)- and I've always wanted to wash a dragon!
[Well, ever since she found out they existed here, anyway. She wasnt even sure if they needed help bathing or not-- she just immediately related them to the Transformers in their alt-modes. And boy- did they love a good wash.]
[Blink. Well, that wasnt the oddest thing to ask, in her opinion- but still, not exactly expected.]

...it kinda doesnt work anymore.

You...you're right. That's not a keyblade.
I...guess...I hadn't realized other objects from other universe could still be powerful in different ways. What happened to it?

Didnt think so- would have been a pretty wimpy blade, if it was. [She cracks a grin.]
Its kinda hard to get used to, right?
You mean why it doesnt work anymore? [She looks down at it, thoughtfully.] We think it's because it used up it's power when I upgraded myself--
[Stops. Not really something she likes to talk (orthink) about.]

[She looks back at the tiny come-to-life dragon who has curled himself into the corner of her bed.]
Was a fire-lizard.
I'm supposed to meet him at 2--would you like to come?
