Life...
Life is good right now.
I have a job. It's not the most wonderful job, but it's not the worst job. It gives me a little income, which is always good!
I have dear and wonderful friends. Thank you all for being such great friends to me. That goes for everyone who is reading this, that I know.
I have a loving family. They take good care of me, and I would not be where I am today were it not for them.
I have a man who takes good care of me, and I of him.
I still have a lot of time in life to accomplish things.
In a nutshell...life is good.
It isn't always so good, but it is helpful to cherish the moments when it is.
Last week, I had a wonderful and special birthday. My dad took me out to lunch, my mom took me shopping, and I went out to dinner with them and Michael. Yay for the Old Spaghetti Factory! Thanks, everyone, for all the fabulous birthday wishes!
Work was busy over the weekend, as there was a huge sale going on. That was stressful, but yay! It's over, and I've survived. Work is going fairly well; I've been promoted to specialist, meaning I now have more authorization priveleges, and I get a higher discount :)
I registered at Pratt Art Institute for Spring Quarter, but unfortunately, there wasn't any more room in the classes I wanted to take, so I was put on a waiting list. It didn't work out, but I'll be trying again in the fall.
Tonight was Pokémon League, yay! I'm involved in a league with some friends, and it meets every Tuesday. I won one of my games, and managed to survive for quite a while during another, which lasted about an hour. I was defeated in the end, but it was really fun while it lasted! I'm getting gradually better and more familiar with what's out there, which is great!
Sakura-Con was awesome! For those who don't know, it is a Japanese culture and animation convention that happens once every year. I love it! It is the one place you can express yourself, go all out, and be crazy...yet be normal at the same time. I know not all of you are into anime and such, but it's definitely worth it for those who are. I love anime. There are a lot of people who dress up for it, and so there are always a lot of fun picture opportunities. I dressed up as Trunks, from DragonBall Z. He's a guy who comes from the future, to help the DragonBall Z force to battle evil and rid the earth of some really nasty guys. He carries a sword, too :D I really had fun with that. (He's the guy in my icon) When I get around to it, I'm planning on posting an album of the pictures that I took, so I'll make sure to post a link here.
I hope everything is going well with everyone. Have a wonderful week!
