Every year since its creation I have forgotten about it and been harshly reminded about it the next day or, in this case, 20 minutes after the day has passed. Is a shame because I would really love to embrace it to its whole extent. No one could complain about you, I could use my pirate chat-up lines, I could dress up and therefore always get shotgun, I could carry a pistol, have a parrot on my shoulder, fight krakens etc. etc. Yo ho ho it's a pirates life for me but not for another 364 days I guess. Maybe they should organise a group pirate event... try and get as many of them together in one place... push apirate land-ship into the fountains at the Peace Gardens... any takers?
Finished my summer of work and had a good time and earnt some good money, which is probably all going into a Vets Go Wild course nest summer where you got to South Africa and learn all about the animals and how to dart them along with conservation techniques. SOunds like an amazing oppurtunity and hopefully would help me get a job in a zoo if I so wished one day. Been good to know that at work they seem to think I have a way with dogs, a good skill for anyone of my profession. In a way I'll miss it, always is better imo to be out and doing job you like oding than sat in lecture theatres where I have it on good authority they teach us loads of stuff we don't even need to know. Have made some useful contacts however and maybe found a subject for my dissertation so bring it on...
