Thinking of entering the fursuit tournament.

Okay, I know there is ALOT of drama when the fursuit tournament comes around every year but I have been itching of putting my wolf butt in there to see how far I can go. It is for fun anyways. As long as you know the drama that is involved in that thing, and are willing to be subjected to it, the go for it. I myself won't do it, even when I get my current commission that would definitely win. Like you alluded to, there are some who take it way too seriously and I don't care to deal with it.

The only drama I've seen is people debasing themselves with begging for votes or having friends beg for votes. Seen nothing but friendly rivalry on the actual fursuit tourney community.

Suits that are really fantastic don't automatically win something like this, the whole introduction of video footage showing how you perform in suit has really changed the dynamic.

Yeah, I agree. There was a great vid of me that someone took at AC last year of me being cute and such in my suit, but they took it down. So, the next best thing is the masquerade vid from AC last year but I hardly did anything because my vision in my suit was almost gone and didn't want to risk crashing into Ikari or falling off the stage and getting seriously injured. So, without a good vid of me, I am going to be slammed in the first round.

Don't get too worried about not having a vid or not winning. It's fun to just enter. The people who care way too much are the ones who are the reason people think there's a lot of drama associated with that tournament :P

Yes, you should if for no other reason than to get the name and pics of your fursuit out there. I'll be entering my partial fursuit, which doesn't have a chance in hell of even making it past the first round... but what the hell eh :P

Yeah! I got alot of good pics of me from AC and FF last year, but no luck with a vid. I am trying to look through youtube to find anything.

I voted the middle option. No matter how good your suit is, it seems anyone will lose if you end up against an LV suit or if you come up against somebody who's just a really OMG popular person.

But hey, if you put on your drama-proof armor and shield, why not? :)
