White-blood-cell Power!

So... I might not ACTUALLY have mono. I got another blood test done and it turned out to be negative. The doctors (or rather, the nurses who did all of the work and the doctor who looked at the friggen' chart for $500 an hour) told me that there are a variety of reasons why you can show a false positive. Oh. Great. So that means I just feel like crap every other day for unknown reasons as opposed to real ones.

Oh well, I'll look at this way: I don't have mono! WHEE!

Break has been nice already, but I think it's time I get down to business. I have a load of work to do, mostly in theatre. Charlie assigned us all new plays to put on and I have to figure out Birdbath before I come back. It's a ridiculous play and it is really going to stretch the limitations of my actors. I don't pity the girl in it, who has a page long monologue almost every other page. Also, she killed her own mother. The hardest thing the guy has to do is slowly get drunker on stage.

Speaking of drinking and theatre, I have to also see a play over break. There's a lot of choices for okay stuff all around here, including in Boston. Thing is, I'm trying to find a play that'd be interesting to write about. Yeah, I'm pulling my snob card here. I want to see something other than the standard play on a stage. I want to see something really odd and out there, something that is heavy with directorial choices and the writing has to be interesting to boot. Unfortunately for me, I won't know for sure unless I go to them. ...Oh well. I guess that means I'll just have to see a BUNCH of theatre.

While doing my taxes today, I found out I made something close to $7,000 this last year. Yeah, that's pretty good I guess. Thing is, I probably spent at least half that. So despite the fact that I'm still in school, all I can think of is: "That's it?" I really need to know that I can make some serious money right off the bat. No, it doesn't have to be a permanent job, but I really want somewhat good living conditions out of college. I figure if I can make at least $30,000 a year out of college, I'll be in okay shape. ...So that means if I work year 'round, I'll need to earn $2500 a month. So I need to make at least $15 an hour or so, right? ...That's easy, yeah?
