romance is under-rated

watched the play Closer last night and what struck me most significantly was that humanity is incapable of true love. perhaps the closest we come to it is a fraction of selflessness but more often than not, we merely seek refuge from some proverbial aversion to loneliness. likewise i shall adopt the carpe diem affinity towards romance and ride the wave with no strings or expectations. that is a premise best suited to our innate primal nature.
