an irresistible trade-in offer*, similar in age but much less exorbitant in installments. and let's just say previously replacement parts had to involve korean imports (hence hefty costs) whereas this baby has parts no further than north of our border! m'sia boleh! i'm assured mostly by it's Lotus-designed engine though.

so goodbye chilli. hello butter. haha thot about naming her lemon, but that often portends disasterous malfunction in the context of cars.

m gonna miss chilli and the memories we had at the back of the truck, like looking at the stars while gobbling kueh pi-tis under the moonlight.
guess it was time to move on to something pragmatic and smaller that didn't take up so much parking space with her wide girth. i know my neighbours must be relieved!
mostly i'll miss driving a 2.0L compared to this 1.3L. maybe that speeding tix was a warning sign. time i drove more like a 40something haha

*note to self: avoid impulsive decisions induced by a full pint of hoe during dept meetings =P
yes, once again my dept has a penchant for holding meetings outside college where alchie is in generous access. ironically, we were rambling on (or ribbing more like) about how colossal my truck was and i drive down to the dealer right after the meeting to trade it in for something way smaller.hooray for lower road tax then!
