plato re-invented.

It's not everyday you come across an indie film crafted deliberately on a play, with stark stage sets and centered on only two characters, who so happen to be gay.

yes, i say so happen because this isn't your gratuitous gay pornish film (though the poster may suggest otherwise). what you won't find are elaborate scenes of intimacy and/or nudity. (sorry nothing to see. move on haha)

what you will uncover is an understated gem which explores the universality of love, according to plato. yup the old dead guy who once postulated that we are all alone until we meet that one soulmate. and it is somewhat inevitable that we will fall in love, regardless of gender, circumstances or social mores.

soppy romance aside, this treatment is unusual because of its unflinching honesty in dialogue and situation. you will be drawn in by its witty and unself-conscious presentation of two characters who fight but ultimately embrace (literally too) what they have to be.

watch it here if you're curious (or bi-curious haha). it's worth your 75 odd minutes.
