i concur.
while gobbling north indian tandoori fare with my partner at 9pm on a friday night, it didn't escape me how wonderful this country is with its myriad of food choices at anytime, anywhere you fancy.
so i read this CNN article, 50 reasons why Singapore is No.1 with much amusement and private approval. i mean, it is tongue-in-cheek mostly but as they say, when you make a joke about something, there is a certain truth which the idea originates.
and i don't give a toss about whom this dish really belongs, so long as it's yummy
so yes, i do love my country for the same reasons stated, and to a large extent, i'd stay here only because you can have chilli crabs at midnight, vongole pasta at a hawker center for $5, or pad thai served by actual thais in the middle of bukit timah and of course, tandoori in the middle of heartlands in genuine silver servers.
this country rocks socks for that reason. alone.
