when i saw the headlines, "Ugly Turn of Events" i thought it was referring to the photo above on the Iraq War. haha turns out what's been happening with the AWARE debacle is even uglier.
seriously, while the coup by the noobs only illustrates due democratic process (regardless of their hidden agenda) which the original team should just admit defeat gracefully, taking this as a lesson on complacency, the noobs should just drop the facade and state in no uncertain terms what they plan to do with this organization.
coz the only winners in this tussle are the media which has turned this fodder into ratings and revenue, and the misogynistic cynic who can now resoundingly say that women just can't handle power and should stick to needlepoint and baked goods.
for me, i'm just wondering why the sudden diatribe online when it's been an age-old battle between the fundys & non-believers. you can raise as much of a heckle on values but at the end of the day, no one can impose their principles on another, least not by using channels which are arbitrary and draconian.
