Well Fuck.
So, I got a call from a company in the Chicagoland area just this past Wednesday. It sounded like a really good thing. Even with a "Oh you're a chemist, that's a rare breed." So, at the end of the phone call, he told me that he was going to check into a few things and that he would get back in touch with me within a few day.
Fast forward two day. So I was returning the call that I missed yesterday (I was expecting one, it was the one day I forgot my cell at home). I call him and this is how the conversation turned out:
You aren't in the Chicagoland area. We can't place non-local people with the companies we work for. Yes this is a global trait of *company name*.
ARGH! For a while now, I had been wondering if where I was living had any direct correlation to me not getting a job. I guess, with regards to this company, it's true. So I guess, I need to figure out if I should move first to find a job, or if I should find a job first then move.
