Through the farm manager at Marra Farm, who I met this afternoon while helping disadvantaged 8-year-olds plant seeds and vegetable starts, I just obtained a ticket from someone else entirely to go see His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama speak on Saturday. I am excited beyond words.
(I'd say "*squee* omg omg omg" but I feel like I'd be demeaning the event. That sentiment, however, would be an accurate reflection of my current state of mind.)
Oh yeah, and while I am blogging, I might as well mention that I started volunteering with Lettuce Link today. Marra Farm is their amazing resource. Volunteering on the farm is double plus good. Volunteering with 8-year-olds may or may not turn out to be double plus ungood.
