Chapter 14-Spigot or Me This Time
Spigot laughed when Matthew fell. But his laughter was cut short, there was no splash. He leaned over the edge of the ship.
“The beast ate him whole.” He began laughing, and again was stopped short by the sound of the tick-toc-ing of the crocodile.
“ ’t l’oks f’r m’re C’pt’n!” Berwald shouted.
“Then let’s give it more.” He said moving quickly towards the boys. The boys all shouted, “Shut up!” Spigot snapped, grabbing Peter and cutting his ropes. He carried Peter close to the plank, and just as he was going to put him on it, Spigot heard the sound of the clock ticking. And it wasn’t coming from below the ship, it was coming from above them. Spigot dropped Peter, and turned to his crew.
“Get going! Hunt it down!” Spigot commanded. The pirates scattered. Peter moved towards the side of the ship, to get out of the way so he wouldn’t be trampled. Spigot ran inside the closet that held the various weapons, he got his gun and left the door open. The boys were trying their best to get out of the way, Spigot kicked Jack down and continued walking.
After Spigot passed, Alfred landed on the deck of the ship, holding Matthew bridal style. He stood in a proud stance. Matthew’s head was all confused on what in the world was happening at this moment, but he was glad to see that his brothers were okay.
The boys gasped and cheered a bit when they saw Alfred and Matthew, Alfred made a face to tell them to be quiet, as Spigot turned around to face the boys. Alfred pushed Matt up against the mast of the ship, and used himself as a sort of human shield, to protect Matthew, but to also still be able to see what Spigot was doing.
Spigot walked past the boys who were smiling up at him, innocently. Spigot eyed the skies. Berwald saw the shadow of the croc and lost his balance on the rope ladder he was standing on, and fell into the water. Spigot spun around quickly.
“What was that?!” When Spigot had his back turned, Alfred flew over to the boys, and Matthew ran towards the weapons. Spigot turned back around and looked at the boys, but he didn’t look close enough otherwise he would of noticed Alfred amongst them. Alfred began to cut the boys free.
Matthew grabbed as many swords he could carry trying to make sure he made very little noise.
Tino saw the shadow this time.
“It’s here captain!” He shouted, “Devil demon, your time is up!” he looked behind the sail, and saw that it was nothing more than a piece of wood carved in the shape of a crocodile, and it had a pocket watch on it. In fact, Arthur was the one carrying the thing, He smiled at Tino. Two shots fired at the sail, it caught Tino off guard and he too fell into the water. Spigot watched Tino fall into the water, and that’s when he noticed Alfred standing there proudly with his hands behind his back.
“So, Alfred Jones, this is all your doing.” Alfred smiled.
“Aye, Nicholas Spigot, it’s all my doing.”
“Proud and insolent youth, prepare to meet thy doom.”
“Have at thee!” Alfred said going at Spigot with a sword, a few clangs of their swords, and the other pirates were ready to join.
“Leave him! He’s mine!” Spigot snapped. Alfred smiled.
“Now!” Al shouted. The boys, who had gone unnoticed by the pirates, came out of the small armory, attacking the pirates.
Everybody was fighting now, including Peter. Peter noticed Toris holding some treasure, and heading towards the plank. Peter raised his sword up and pointed it at Toris, causing Toris to back up on the plank.
“There you go.” He said handing over the jewels, “I never wanted to be a pirate anyways, I’m going to spend the rest of my life doing good works.” He said before jumping off the plank. Peter just stared blankly at where Toris once stood.
Gilbert was fighting pirates by backing them up against walls and then punching them. Kiku snuck around and looked for the boys who were in trouble, and snuck up behind the pirate they were fighting and attacked them. The Twins fought together, like they always did, both were cowardly but they still fought rather well. Feliks fought with Francis, often with their back against each others.
Spigot knocked Alfred’s sword out of his hand, and Alfred flew to retrieve it. When he got it, Raivis grabbed his ankle. Alfred struggled in the air flying Raivis right into part of the mast, causing him to let go of Alfred and fall down to the deck.
Even Arthur was helping the fight, he couldn’t do much because of his size. But he did his best, pulling pirates hair and taking them to the edge of the ship and pushing them over board. Arthur waved good bye to the last pirate he took off the ship, and while he was distracted, Spigot grabbed him and shook faerie dust on him. Arthur fell to the ground dizzy.
Spigot thought of happy thoughts to him. It didn’t work, he wasn’t flying. Alfred laughed at his attempt to fly.
“You can’t be a grown up and fly!” Alfred laughed. Spigot climbed the ropes as high as he could go. Since he couldn’t fight Alfred physically with his sword since he kept taking off into the sky, he figured it was time for a mental fight.
~!A/N!~
So this combined the movie logic with the book logic. Adults can't fly. Its one of the few things in the movie that bugged the mess out of me. Hook flew. >=T I mean it made sense with the way they went with the movie. but still. it was one of the few things that bothered me.
if you can't understand Sweden he said "It looks for more Captain"
