Draco looked up from the careful distillation he was making to see Tippy standing silent but wide-eyed in the doorway. The elves knew better than to set foot in the workroom. The elf was holding a scroll rather reverently. "What it it?"
"It is from Hogwarts, sir," she squeaked.
Draco picked up his wand and froze the process, one droplet hanging poised to fall into the cauldron. He went to take the parchment and dismissed the elf.
She had spoken true. The Hogwarts seal stood out proudly on the wax and ribbon that held it closed.
"Well, it is either bad news about Scorpius, or..."
He did not voice the other option, which Snape knew anyway. They would see soon enough.
And there it was. From the headmaster, welcoming Draco to the Board of Governors.
