Well, today I had surgery on my toe. Nan took me, even though I thought they were just going to look at it this time... but they decided to perform the surgery. Ready for the details?
Sicko...
Now... I hate going to doctors. Much like both of my parents, I like to take care of things on my own. I like to play doctor and hate to admit that something's out of my control. But, I finally caved in and made an appointment after deciding that there was something wrong.
They started off with a cold, numbing spray followed by two injections. The injections made me very nauseated so I was given a couple cold rags to put on my face and neck. After the injections the veins in my feet and legs turned white, as did my toe. The medicine administered cut off the blood circulation to stop any excessive bleeding. I went into a daze after that. But they took off half the nail and clipped off a bunch of skin. A couple slits here and there and it was over. Basically, I'm glad I couldn't feel anything. When I woke up, he went over intructions on how to take care of it. In two weeks, I have a check-up appointment.
I'll be out of work til next Thursday.
I'll also be on some heavy pain meds.
And I don't feel good.
