...in Bamberg, Germany. I'm not even going to bother trying to put the trip over here into full sentences. The stress would be too much. I'll just give you guys some bullet points.
- Flight to ATL- slept the whole way.
- Flight to London- sucked big time. Way too long. Made new friend named Susan (Londoner) and exchanged emails.
- Flight to Munich- not too bad. Sat next to Scottish guy in kilt who quizzed me on my German.
- Train from Munich to Bamberg- Hell. Bloody-freaking-Hell. Lugging four pieces of luggage (ha!), trying to find the elevator, no one speaks English, (find cute German guy who DOES speak English and chat until his train stop; exchanged emails), get on wrong train, cry, find out how to get to Bamberg (now involves three more connections to trains of various platforms while dragging along my suitcases), get hit on by sleazy English/ German speaking Black guy who helped me put my bags on the las train (possibly a G.I.) and bullied into taking his name (Bobby) and phone number. Finally arrive in Bamberg.
- Cry.
- Quick shower before being forced to go to dinner with Dr. WEihe and his wife so that I'll stay up until 10 and not have jet lag.
- Cry at dinner.
- Forced to bring home leftover Tiramisu by pushy waiter.
- Get home. Cry myself to sleep.
Sounds like I'm having the time of my life, eh?
It's getting better though. I just feel so lonely most of the time, but it's only the second full day and things keep getting better. Like, now, I can actually use the internet (though getting used to this keyboard is proving to be a bit difficult.)
Please please please keep in contact with me so that I don't feel so alone, okay?
