Hello, and welcome to another public post.

Like the last one, this concerns Hanzo the Magical Cyborg Landshark. As you might remember, plunderpuss once hosted a neat project called PlunderZoo to help fund a major surgery for Hanzo's legs.

The downside is that, during the surgery, the vet learned what was causing the trouble in the first place. It turns out that Hanzo was born with a condition called tibial torsion, which distorts bone growth. plunderpuss has more details about the situation here.

However! There is good news: Thanks to his own savings, as well as the awesome generosity of others, plunderpuss actually has the funds he needs to have this last surgery performed.

At this point he simply wants to pay everyone back. In order to do that, he is offering some truly magnificent stuff.

This time plunderpuss has set up a raffle! Tickets are five bucks a pop. With them, you may win one of two things:

Prize #1 is a batch of 100 1 inch buttons featuring five different designs. These can be designs of your own choosing, or you can have plunderpuss design something awesome himself. You can get an idea of what his art looks like by visiting here. Use them to promote your stuff, or simply cover your jacket in them--either way, they'll look amazing.

Prize #2 is a recorded reading! Do you have an epic poem, a script, or a dramatic essay you wish you could unleash upon the world? Is there a short story or novel fragment in your collection that you'd love to have in audio form? As long as you wrote the material and it's 5,000 words or less, San can have Seamus the DJ create an audio version of your favorite work. Along with having an excellent reading voice, Seamus has access to tons of shiny recording and editing equipment that will do wonders for making your .mp3 sound sensational. Put it on your website, send it to friends and family, or simply keep it around for the novelty of it.

If you're desperate for buttons or mp3 files, you have a chance at getting them even if your raffle ticket isn't drawn. You can learn how by checking out the official post regarding the contest rules, contact information, and other stuff here.

Whether you throw in five dollars or lots more, you'll be helping a silly, spastic dog (whose love of disgusting bones only rivals his joy in making Chewbacca noises in the wee hours of the morning) be able to run and jump and play normally.

Best of all, plunderpuss plans to enter both Hanzo and his new pitbull ladyfriend Briar in a program that allows them to become nursing home volunteers. Once Hanzo is on his feet again, he'll be able to continue his training and eventually be able to make elderly folk happy.

So, yes. Thank you and have fun!
