Please tell me this isn't true....
What would you do if one day you read an article that said that your fav idol just had a terrible accident that is life-threatening. And even after it was dealt with, that idol will never be the same as he / she used to be.
I just experienced this a few minutes ago.
It happened to Selina of S.H.E. This happened days ago, but stupid me only checked out c-pop today since I was too engrossed in K-pop. And when I read what happened, my heart felt like it drop to my feet and I cried right away. This was what happened :
S.H.E's Selina Ren got into an explosive accident recently in Shanghai during shooting of new drama and suffered a 3rd degree burn. She has returned Taiwan last night by a SOS special plane and transferred to Changgeng Hospital safely.
In order to prevent reporters from interrupting the transfer process, Selina's record company HIM notified reporters a press conference at 6:30PM in Shanghai, but at the same time Selina was already on the way to the airport. The same day around 11:30PM, Selina's dad held a press conference, expressing his thank to everyone's concern. He said with tears: "If possible, I'm willing to use my body to take in all the pain for Xuan Xuan [Selina's Chinese name is Ren Jia Xuan]."
Selina was on a stretcher and her body was covered up with a green blanket when she was brought down from the plane. It's known her hair is shaved off and she has to wear protective clothing. About 10 staff from her company were with her and they held up umbrellas to block reporters' cameras.
HIM's General Manager Linda He expressed Selina's dad and fiance met Selina the first time after the accident on the plane. Selina cried happily when she saw her family. Linda hopes Selina can get the best treatment to recover soon, and hopes the media can give them some space.

Fans of male lead Yu Hao Ming, who actually suffered a greater damage from the accident, visited the shooting set that day and took pictures of the leads [above]. It's known Selina was nervous and scared about shooting the explosive scene and asked about its safety many times. Yu was also feeling nervous about the scene and hoped everything will be okay. Unfortunately, an accident still occurred out of expectation. Yu immediately ran to Selina to protect her, but Selina was still burned, and kept shouting "very hot! it's so painful!." Some staff kept pouring water on her and because there wasn't enough time to call the ambulance, Selina was sent to the hospital by bicycle.

S.H.E is my favourite girlband, and my love for them is as big as my love for Arashi. And... and Selina happens to be one of my fav. It has always been either Selina or Ella. And so this news crushed me. really really crush me. Selina is the sweet princess type of the group. She loves pink, has a dog called pinky, and mostly seen in skirts. She puts on cute faces and whines, but succeeded in never making people felt annoyed at her princess behavior. In fact, she openly whines and all and isn't afraid of people brandanizing her as the airhead princess or whatever, because she knew she is smart. Yes, she has always been smart since young and on top of it all, she is brave and courageous and crazily funny. This was proven by the recent accident. She would still practice her vocal while in bed and in such pain. She stayed optimistic and even comforted Ella and Hebe when they visited her. She has shown a bravery beyond what others expected, even though she is still unstable at the moment with continuous bleeding from her wounds and the knowledge of not being able to walk properly again in the future. She is a true Shero.
I... I give my heart and all my blessings to her. I really wish that I can do much more than this. And even though she may not be able to dance again in the future, I will always support her and buy S.H.E's album. At the mean time, I can only pray for her.
