Yeah, that does make sense. I was probably overanalyzing and I agree with you that it wasn't really Duncan and Logan trade places, the 'gullible' line was very Logan. Just seeing him without the truckload of sarcasm and the snark is a little ... jarring.
I don't know -- I feel like they've turned a corner with NP (and LWS before it). In S1, neither really knew how the other felt -- it was hurried and strange and they kind of made it up as they went. I feel like now, they had their talk in LWS, there's more of a sense of what they each want and need from each other. Rekindled summer relationship doesn't have to mean fall doom. Or maybe I'm just a marshmallow that way. ;)
I'd love it if you were right but I still remain a little hesitant. Things have changed and you're right about them knowing how each other feels now and what they want, but part of me can't escape the thought that this show isn't known for it's lasting relationships and I love them both, but eventually ... it's Logan and Veronica. Maybe I'm just cynical. ;)
Also, even if it does turn out okay, we're probably only going to get to see it via flashback, unless the show picks up during the summer, and that's a little annoying. I would have loved to have seen their 'talk.' I know RT doesn't like clunky emotional exposition, but sometimes, it's kind of nice. ;)
