yuletide letter 2019

Thank you so much for offering to write one of these awesome things!
To give you a broad picture of what I like in fic:
Things I don't like so much:
I am absolutely fine with AUs. Canon divergent or something else. Modern? Fairytale? Space? Sports? All good.
Explicit fic is fine, but I'm not really after a PWP in these cases.

David Eddings -Elenium/Tamuli
Sephrenia, Vanion
I go through occasional bouts of re-reading their scenes from the Elenium and Tamuli books because I am so fond of the glimpses of their relationship that we get through the books. So set whenever you like. From the long time before they get together where their feelings are growing, and then what we see in the books - when Vanion takes the swords, what affect that has on him and what makes Sephrenia finally break and take him to the island, and then their time in Sarsos in the Tamuli series - or futurefic after they are married.
I'm always interested in poltiical machinations - whether on Eosia or Tamuli. And I also enjoy the glimpses we get into the worlds of the Styric Gods and Goddesses. What does Apharel think of Vanion? She clearly cares for him, but we don't tend to see much of their relationship at all.
I don't think I have much more to add to what I said above tbh. I just always want to see more fic about them and looks into their relationship other than what the books provide. There's clearly been a lot of pining over the years, and people knowing they want to be together but thinking they'd never be able to make it work because of Circumstances, but I love that they in the end it's just Fuck It. We're Together. Deal With It.
Of course feel free to includes others, but I'll be honest I am not Sparhawk's biggest fan. I know he's close to both, so if you want to include him all good, but maybe on a limited basis?

Ben Ebbrell, Mike Huttlestone
Ben Ebbrell is my favourite, and Mike is my second and I always like when they interact or are teamed up together. Do I also ship them a little? Maaaybe. But honestly if that's not your deal, then some gen fic is totally fine. I am especially fond of Ben going full Super Chemistry/Food Nerd.
Maybe what Mike sees since he's often behind the camera shooting videos of Ben? Or at outsider POV of their relationship. Or a behind the scenes view of one of their overseas trips when they're paired up together to do Lost and Hungry rules segments.
Of course feel free to include the other guys because they're so much fun together - I'm especially fond of James and Jamie.

I do feel a bit for Ebbers being often the butt of all their jokes, so if you're going to have them hassle him please keep it relatively light and well-meaning.
Heaven's Vault
Aliya Elsara, Oroi
This game had really interesting world building, and I was especially interested in the relationship between Aliya and Oroi. What was their backstory? I'd love to see more scenes from that. Either from growing up together, or working together on the Nightingale or how their relationship became more distant. I'd be interested in anything. :)
I'm not sure I have much more to add here. I just found their relationship interesting with all the History behind it. What went on? Or more detail into how Oroi became a machinist and her technical leanings developed? Them looking at an artifact together?
I removed Six from my original sign-up because it limits the timeframe you can write in, but I do enjoy their interactions with Aliya, so feel free to include them if you feel inspired :)
Crooked Media RPF
Jon Lovett, Ronan Farrow, Pundit
I was tentatively in Crooked Fandom but recent news and reading Catch and Kill has given me all the feelings. Feel free to go backstory or something more recent. I'd probably prefer something relatively light in this case, and not going into all the drama of what was happening during Catch and Kill. Feel free to allude to it, but I'd rather it not be the focus of the story. I am also a big fan of them being nerds about video games.
I included Pundit because she's an angel and deserves fanfic about her.
Of course feel free to include the others. I am all on board for a Commune vibe if that's what you're in the mood for.
Pundit can be an adorable guest-star and doesn't have to be the focus of the fic.
Hopefully these further details are helpful.

- fluffy and happy endings, but also love fics with bittersweet and open ended ones too
- Political intrigue
- banter
- snark
- competence, people finishing each others sentences and knowing each other's looks
- backstory and pining

- lifestyle BDSM
- humiliation/embarrassment
- Stories that focus on pregnancy
