I was up doing things before 8am today. It's Saturday. What the hell, self?

I finished Mockingjay last night after reading the last half in one session.

Holy shit. The human shield of children. Prim. Holy shit.

I cried, I was astonished, I even smiled a few times.

It did not quite end the way I thought it would. Not that it was a happy ending per se - definitely more bittersweet - but happier than I thought it would. I did not think Katniss and Peeta would end up together at all. I'm surprised they both lived actually, but then I guess that is a little sadder in a way after Prim died and all that had happened to them - having to continue to live with that and taking comfort where they could, but I did love in the end that Katniss admitted she loved him.

Katniss/Peeta forever, dude. They broke my heart so many times, and I like that the books made Katniss deny it for ages and ages, and not be sure about her feelings. It was so well done. Peeta was the character that made me cry the most - handing her the lamb stew, and oh that bread story made me cry right back in the first book. Gah. I love them both though. So very much.

So, movies? Awesome.

I also watched Community:

I liked it - quite a bit - but I think I preferred both last week's ep and last year's Christmas episode.

Troy and Abed - <3 From the rap in the house to the montage to get Pierce to join them. Adored them.

Also the constant mention of 'Regionals' and 'Mr Rad' were pretty hilarious. Ugh, I have watched like 4 episodes of Glee and I hate Mr Schu so very, very much.

And watching them all slowly get pulled in was well done.

Yvette Nicole Brown, your voice! Amazing.

I understand the Britta thing was supposed to be funny and I get what the point it was trying to make but the level was awkward was too high for me. Just ... too high.

Also that Annie 'Santa Baby' bit was just bad. It went on too long, was awkward (sort of the point - I get that), and just wasn't that funny. Disclaimer: I am not a huge fan of Jeff/Annie and that may be contributing.

Cute ending though. Inspector Spacetime returns. <3

The show has also been using Chang sparingly - I approve.
