Inception! aKa Christopher Nolan's run of freakishly good movies continues.

Today has been very blah-ish. Nothing really bad happened, there were just lots of small things that frustrated and annoyed me. The high points of my day were, 1) Jenson Button being on the cover of the Evening Standard's free magazine (so hot), 2) acquiring Fringe Season 2 and 3) seeing Inception.

Well, that's three things, so it wasn't that bad, I guess.

Inception briefly: Christopher Nolan, you are one freakishly talented man.

So, so well done. I think I followed it all, but the 'whose dream they were actually in' thing and Ariadne's role in it sort of threw me for a while. The swapping between the different dreams and the different periods of time was a particular highlight ... which is really most of the movie.

The acting was also pretty awesome. I especially loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Ken Watanabe.

I was trying to remember where I knew Tom Hardy from and Wikipedia has told me he was Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis. Dude. Did not pick that.

I was also trying to remember if I've seen JGL in anything since Third Rock, but I think I may have seen Brick. Maybe. Dude impressed me anyway.

Arthur and Eames had awesome chemistry. There should be fic. *nods* Although I did quite like Arthur and Ariadne as well, but less so.

Loved the special effects. The city folding in on its self and the series of scenes where Arthur had no gravity in the hotel were amazingly done.

Also, despite my slightly eh feelings on Mr DiCaprio, I did slightly tear up when he got to hug his kids.

It's a long movie, but to be honest, I never noticed.

It might be my favourite Nolan movie, but I am also a big fan of Momento ...

I will stop myself from spamming things about Joshua Jackson (because believe me, after the last couple of days, I am fully qualified to do so), because instead I'm going to start watching Fringe S2 and hopefully get to sleep at a decent time. I hear you laughing.
