Cute little megalomaniacs and former heads of SHIELD. Also, hi Joshua Jackson.

1. London Film and Comic Con was a little underwhelming, to be honest. Did manage to see Katee Sackhoff do her 30 minute Q&A though, and she was adorable! 30 minutes wasn't long enough though. I spied Ben Browder (hot) and some others. Didn't see Mike Tyson (thankfully, it just freaks me out he was there), or William Shatner, whose Q&A cost money and who was in his own separate space for autographs.

After her cute Q&A I did get Katee's autograph (didn't really say a lot) and then picked up some adorable stickers.

Apologies, the photo is a little crap, as I was too lazy to get my real camera.

2. My friend who I went to the con with lent me Fringe S1 on DVD and I watched an episode (or five) last night.

I like it. Mostly. It doesn't flow quite as well as it could and I'm not entirely sold on it's sort of procedural feel and wow, there are some leaps of faith, but I'm intrigued enough by the characters to keep watching.

Walter is pretty awesome (John Noble ftw), and I do like Peter, a lot, but then I was always going to. Intelligent, smart-ass troubled past and on top of that he's played by Joshua motherfucking Jackson? Yeah, that was never going to end well. Mmm, Josh Jackson. Anyway ... the show, yes.

Olivia is interesting, enough to keep me watching anyway. I'm not 100% sold on the thing she has with Peter (well, definitely on Peter's side). I'll wait and see.

I really like Astrid. She's awesome. As is Charlie.

Broyles bugged me at first, but he's growing on me. He's a little bit Cedric Daniels, which is okay by me, and I guess a little what they were after when they hired Lance Reddick. (Also, looking at Wikipedia, he was in In Excelsias Deo? I have to watch that ep again).

I am aware this is a J.J Abrams show though, and a little wary. Alias ended in a whole ball of crazy and I never really looked at it the same, and I never got past the second season of Lost (and I'm not sure if I want to rectify that or not).

I have managed to spoil myself a little though as I went reading Wikipedia when I shouldn't have. It's nothing I didn't have a vague inkling about though.

3.

That was a lot better. I was still bored in places and there is still too much going on, but on the whole that was so much better than last week.

Starting with the awesome first. Eric backstory! Eric being a flirt! Alexander Skarsgard being a pretty awesome actor! Also, how screwed is Russell?! Eric is going to go crazy. Probably not in the next ep though, as he really needs to save Pam. Yes. Loved his little moments with Talbot and Lorena (yes, I know) though. And the short hair is definitely better.

Talbot was nicely snarky through most of this ep. 'Hence the restraints.' Also, very much into Eric. Understandably.

Lafayette and Jesus were very cool. Loved Lafayette's outfit.

Jason was surprisingly entertaining. Loved the bored!Jason montage and him looking over the top of aviators was so hot. It must be in Ryan Kwanten's contract to keep his chest looking like that. I was never a big Home and Away fan, but it's so amusing to me that he used to play Vinnie.

Tara had moments of awesome but she's still bugging me a little, and wow, Franklin has some issues but I am quite the fan of James Frain's accent.

Poor Jessica. :(

Sam and Tommy bonding was kinda cool, but in general I am well over the Sam family storyline.

I have to agree with this review over at Pink Raygun though. Is it against vampire etiquette to clean up after you eat a person? Dude.

I thought for a second Grant Bowler's accent had improved. I was mistaken.

Sookie and Bill reunited for a scene? *sigh* Seriously, Sookie in particular is so much more bearable without him. I was also getting total X-Men flashbacks with Anna Paquin and a wolfy looking guy in a car in a forest at night. Just needed snow, and you know, mutants.

Aaand everyone ends up at Russell's. Nice. Less bouncing around, and Sookie has glowy powers. Interesting.

I won't go into details about next week's promo, but I am intrigued. Yes, indeed. And apparently more invested in Eric/Sookie than I thought.

4. Day 14. A song you listen to when you're happy

5. I made the best salad for dinner. Roast sweet potato/kumara, fresh spinach, feta and sesame and pumpkin seeds. Really good! But then I ate far too many peanut M&Ms. *sigh*

6. I have F1 tickets in my possession! \o/

7. I keep coming across the surname Banatvala at work, and every time I picture the red spiky Bannakaffalatta in "Voyage of the Damned." It amuses me, because the work it involves sure doesn't. It's fine, but I am over it. Oh yes. If I have to look at one more set of papers ...
