For a Tuesday today was actually good. The weather was awesome, the bank got me my new debit card far quicker than I thought they would, and I got a refund for the money that was fraudulently removed from my account. I can pay rent!
09: A song from your favourite band
Um, so this wasn't too hard. ;)
I have promised myself that I'm going to use a different band/artist for each question though, so this is the last Muse song you'll see. Really.
Anyway, while doing this meme and finding songs to use I've discovered that I really love songs that go quiet then really rocky-loud (see: Paranoid Android, Monkeywrench - although that's more loud and louder, and a great number of Muse songs), and I wanted to chose a less obvious Muse song, so here is their cover of Can't Take My Eyes Off You.
Muse - Can't Take My Eyes Off You (Frankie Vali Cover) MP3 quality could possibly be better. Hmm.
I would be so, so happy if they played this at Wembley in September.
Also, it's quite sad that I never made the connection between this version and Heath Ledger singing this in 10 Things I Hate About You (love) until I saw it linked as a related video on YouTube. It is one of my favourite scenes from that movie and probably my favouurite scene Heath Ledger ever did. Just, sad.

2002! Look at Matt's hair. Oh, I loved the crazy hair days. I am perhaps too invested in his haircuts, but he recently cut it short again. *sigh*

And my connection finally played nice to let me watch this:
I'd read lots of positive comments about this one, and parts of it were good but I just couldn't get over the pacing and how unfocused it was. I fear it's getting a little Heroes-like at the moment with too many people doing too many different things, but I'll wait and see.
Sookie actually didn't bother me too much tonight. The 'Sookuh' thing was hilarious and her 'Oh, Mr Northman won't you please come in' was amusing too.
Jessica.<3 I'm quite enjoying her plotline, but the body being missing was pretty obvious. Pam looking out for her? Something more sinister? Also, there are not enough hearts in the world for Hoyt.
Or Lafayette for that matter.
I did not pick Franklin would have a British accent. Nice. I hope his story-line makes Tara a little easier to watch. I want to like her, but the way she's written and the plot-lines she's given does not make it easy.
King and Talbot? Talbot was awesome, the King I am less sure about, although his soundtrack made me feel like I was watching a period drama. It was odd.
Lorena!BBQ.
Godric! Loved to see the flashback even if, as others have said, him giving Eric a lecture after almost a thousand years together doesn't make much sense. I hope there is a personal element to the werewolf thing ... why was Eric all emotional in 1945? Hmm.
Eric overall was interesting. I did like the brooding, and the delivery on 'disturbingly human' was awesome. I also liked him at the end with Sookie, but there is something odd about him. Is it just him not dealing with the Godric thing? I'm not sure.
A panther could have been in those woods? Are they really native to Louisiana? What?! Terry is cool though.
