Spread the jam of love on the toast of existence

Tonight I have stayed in with chili, chocolate and Coke and watched some actually quite awesome TV. Great Daily Show episode, Winter Olympics with a gold medal montage which had me almost teary, Johnny Depp on Jonathon Ross and now drunk rock stars (including Matt and Dom) at the NME Awards. So drunk. There must be a lot of alcohol on those tables.

New temp job continues to go pretty well. I've found my feet anyway. Must not get carried away with the slightly better pay though, I need to be saving for traveling, and it still is only a temp job.

Finally got a hold of Outrageous Fortune S5 and stayed in bed most of last Sunday watching it.

So ... yeah.

I had heard so much about how shocking the ending was (amazingly without being spoiled for it) and yeah, I guess it was, but to be honest, I was a little disappointed as it came across as being shocking for shocking sake. One of the best things about OF is the plotting and how, yes, it's a little sensational but it all has lead-up and seems logical. The ending was just, I don't know, I wasn't the hugest fan, but dude, still, Sheryl!!

I did like the look into Wayne's family but they didn't seem to know what to do with his sister. I love Wayne, a lot.

Also, despite Jethro and Loretta having their bastard moments (especially Jethro) I loved them both. And Van and Pascal too, especially Pascal actually, and I was actually happy when she got back together with Nicky. He ... didn't turn out too badly, although I imagine that will turn on itself again. We haven't seen the last of Cherie, I'm sure. Oh, I'm rambling, I love them all in their own little ways ... except Aaron, and did they need to bring Eric back, really?

I totally thought Wolf was there with Sheryl. I was reminded how much I do love Wolf. He's such a prick, but an amusing one. I in no way want to see him get back with Sheryl, but he is still an interesting guy to have around. I do wonder if we will see him again though, with Grant Bowler in True Blood this season. Hmmm.

And despite my misgivings about the final episode, I adored Loretta's wedding ceremony. So her. And in the end I'm happy for her and Hayden.

Also, I finally saw the Robyn Sparkles episode of HIMYM. So awesome.

muse, himym, work, outrageous fortune
