*yawns* I worked eight hours today, and have a week of work ahead of me. Joy. However, I came home and watched SGA 514 and it has brought me joy.
I have give the last couple of eps a miss due to lacklustre reviews but I saw happy posts about this week's ep and with good reason. I think this is my third favourite ep of the season, maybe even second after "The Shrine." Depends on how I'm feeling about "Search and Rescue."
Racing toy cars! Twice! And with bonus Teyla and Torren and showing off to Torren and geuinely being adorable! So much love! And it kinda reminded me of "Echoes" where they followed each other around all the time, and they talked of suicide missions and losing count, and Rodney flew a jumper, and just, I loved it.
Also, speaking of Teyla. Damn she was bad ass at the end, and I thought it was quite a fitting end for Michael really. I wasn't a big fan of the storyline, though this ep was one of the better dealing with it. *does not think of "Misbegoten"*
Amelia was also kickass with her kickboxing.
Radek and Ronon, also awesome.
Note to John: Stop hanging off buildings. Though I get the feeling the visual effects crew wanted to show off that effect again.
Oh, show I do still love you.
Only six eps to go! *sniff*
As for things that don't bring so much joy, like general elections. Eh. I didn't start to get really depressed about the result until I started thinking about the probable National cabinet. Ugh. I'm also sad the Greens didn't do better (though c'mon the special votes which mean they might get one more seat) and surprised that ACT got 5. Dude.
Two good things did come about. No NZ First. And Grant Robertson beat Stephen Franks in Wellington Central.
Anyway, should get an early night, otherwise tomorrow will be even less fun than it is already shaping up to be.
Yuletide: successfully signed up for. Kinda scary what fandoms I offered, but I do find it interesting how I go back to the same fandoms for requests. Quite excited about it now though. :D
Icons: Not so much.
