Labor
Yesterday was Labor Day, or, as Pastor Don called it on Wednesday, Memorial Day. lol
I went canoing down the Bogue Chitto river! My butt hurts from sitting on that metal "seat" thing, and I have some sunburns. Other than that and my tired arms, I emerge delightfully tan and courageous.
It was some good fun, although it made me a little nervous when I thought we'd flip a few times. Lifejackets = the sexy.
Good stuff from the Word, too: "When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown!" (Isa. 43:2)
So, I'm not as morbidly terrified of the whole water thing. Getting on the open water was okay, as the balance was much better than I thought.
Now, I must do my reading. Oh, the reading. so.much.reading.
