Sewing....

Well, time is passing, and that's important, right? I should be working on my suit - the black and white one with all the varigated thread to make it colorful - but I just don't feel like starting to cut everything up and then have to pack it up to go to Scott's. I think I'll just wait 'til I get to his house, and then I'll start working on it. I don't know if I should work on the shirts or the skirt first. I wanna see the jacket/skirt set done first, but the shirts will be the most boring part, so it would be better for me to get that done with first. I don't wanna slack on it.
Then again, I've got the Valentines day shirts for Reet's little sisters to do, and I only have about 5 days to get those done. If anyone has any tips on how to sew a lightweight knit with a random foil pattern on it I would definitely appreciate it. If I use a ball-point needle, it doesn't pierce the foil and gets tangled in the feed dogs, and if I use a sharp point, the knit gets pulled and stretched. Yuccky. I was thinking about using a stabilizer, but I can't iron it on as it shrivels the foil. Any help?
(If you don't understand this stuff, that's fine, I just happen to be a closet seamstress, and you're not as geek-y as I am.)
