I never did finish my rant from last time, but that's ok. Whoa, has it already been 6 months? Ha! Things have been up and down since then, and there was even a very very low moment during Spring Break where I thought I was getting fired due to an elderly teacher taking me aside to tell me of the general "perception" of my teaching practices combined with the news that four teachers were getting fired and "a new era was upon us" what with the new principal and all...I basically felt like shit and cried like a baby in front of my department head when I went to go talk to her later on. Then I realized what "perceptions" really were. Perhaps perception is reality, but the reality is that it's all still fucking gossip!! Assholes. I'm pretty sure my elderly colleague meant well, but I think she was just sussing out whether I was getting fired or not.
