Ithaca is really nice, but I feel kind of out of touch with everything that isn't happening directly to me on campus. Right now I'm listening to NPR, because the dining hall TVs are always on baseball and we don't really have newspapers here. And woah. I mean we talk about stuff briefly but there's so much news that I haven't heard. Living where we all do/did (metro area is what I mean) really exposes you to more than you give it credit for.
In the meantime, college is wonderful. In ten minutes I am leaving for crew practice (I'm doing crew! which is ridic but seems pretty awesome so far and then going out for my sweetmate Sarah's 18th birthday dinner, or something. And then tomorrow morning I have practice again and then the dorm is going to the Ithaca farmer's market!
Four days of chaos in New Orleans? I still don't even really know what's going on. But thank goodness for Robert Seegel (Seagull?). He's my next favorite man after Bob Edwards.
How is everybody else doing?
Love, Diane
