tutorial: tricks and tips for making light textures V

as my dear PSP users always complain when I'm using the Lens Flare filter when making light texture tuts, I wrote a quick one without this filter (yay for caffeine that makes me hyper). Hope you're happy now ;P

This was infinitely helpful! I've been meaning to come up with a logo for my vidding and these were so beautiful that I followed right along in Photoshop. I've never done this so I hope I don't offend but I wanted to show you what I came up with. As you said, I took a little here, tweaked a little there and came up with this.

Gradients are something my brain can understand so it totally made sense the whole way through. Thank you so much!

Oh! And it might not have anything to do with the new watchers but I'm a reccer over at darker_spike and you just happen to post a lot of great stuff on my day, so I'll rec your posts. Let me know if you want me to stop.

no, don't stop. lol. it's nice being recced *g* I'm just a little bit shy and don't feel very comfy with too much attention... and as I don't advertise my stuff (except for the textures in freshmakers lately) in any open comms, I'm always a little bit freaked out about how people find this place. heeee. I like to keep it on a personal note and it feels a bit weird when so many people are watching my ramblings ;)

DS is a closed comm. Members only. Though, really, the only requirement is that you are +18. *snicker* But not open, no. Glad I don't have to stop. *relieved sigh* Your posts were the one graphic tut I usually had to offer. And you most definitely inspired! I haven't opened PS in a long while.

had my bad experiences in the past with an online stalker up to the point where I had to get legal help...

I love all your tutorials; they are very helpful, especially since they are open-ended and promote experimentation. Perhaps the sudden increase in watchers has something to do with a person mentioning one of your tuts over at icon_tutorial the other day? I dont know, just a guess.

I'm glad you think so, as I'm always torn between, should I really post every numeric input of the filters I've used or should I just tell people what I was looking for and tried to achieve that with some experimentation. heeee.

really? hmmm, maybe that would explain it. I'm not a member of this comm, but I think it grew quite large and it's really busy overthere, huh?
it was just weird because there were like 50 new watchers in two days or so, and I don't promote my stuff anywhere... (except of the textures in freshmakers recently, but even that was quite some time ago...)
