These look very interesting and I'm in the mood for experimentation, so I'm downloading the action set. Thanks so much, Blue, for your generosity. It's sincerely appreciated.

Very interesting, indeed.

I have a clarification, though. Finishes are supposed to work on 200x200 bases, right?

I tried cropping a cap of mine, used your coloring, then resized to this. Then I opened that and ran the jolie finish. What came out was this. And when I ran the rhabarberkompott finish, this is what came out: click.

Is that really to be expected, or did I do something wrong somewhere?

Thanks, Blue. Your actions are really neat, and so much fun to play with.

oh, i've tried the base you made with my actions and got the same result, then I pasted it on top of a base of one of my icons and run the action again and the result was fine. weird, I thought, and then I discovered, that for some really odd reason I always use the resolution 100 pixels/inch.... if you change your base to that the actions runs fine :)

I'm tempted to download and try it but I'm scared that soon we're going to have a lot of icons that look awfully similar to the ones you've been making like this. >>;;

If I do download it, I'll credit you for it 'cause it looks like it took a lot of time to make and post. <333333333

well, there are somany possibilites to use them, and so many caps that will look different, and so many text ideas and so on and so on, so I'm not scared ;)

the making was not so hard, as I tend to record actions anyway... but the post itself took surprisingly long. lol.

Well the actions themselves seem really useful. I found an icon style I adore using at the moment so maybe I should look into trying to make some actions like my own 'cause I'm lazy and want to make icons much faster than I currently do. I wonder if my computer would implode if I tried doing that. XD

The post is really detailed and seems easy enough to follow, so I'd say it was well worth the effort. There should be like, Livejournal actions for long posts like this. *headdesk* And my 6:30 AM ramblings once again continue to boggle my mind omg.

hee, that'd be great... I guess with a LJ client it is somehow almost like using actions, but for some reason I always code entries by hand *headdesk*
I'm apparently not very smart... even though it is only noon overhere... *g*

have fun with it, and oh, btw, I've just seen the comment you left on one of my light stock entries, I'm sorry I'm so slow with replying... I'll make sure to give you some tipps on how to get the effects, k? but it could take a bit time... if you want I'll include my brush tips for these lights (if you promise to not share them, I'd prefer if they aren't used by just anyone...)

oh, and btw, they are not made from stock images... *g* I'm insane enough to make these from scratch...
