General Background (This is an AU...try not to make it too canon ;)):
For Lucy Quinn, life hasn't always been pleasant despite her family money and seemingly perfect life. She spent her elementary school years being teased for being slightly overweight and had mousy brown hair, but the summer before sixth grade year, all of that changed. She begged her parents to send her away to "fat camp" and after a summer spent eating the blandest food she'd ever tasted and working out harder than anyone else she knew, her reward was a new body and new blonde locks. When she entered AWM school for girls that next year, everyone stopped calling her Lucy and started taking notice. With Santana by her side, they ruled the middle school. Quinn was determined to leave her past behind and step from behind her sister's shadow.
When did you character start at AWM? (The school starts at pre-school. When did you character get there?) Preschool
How does your character feel about The Roses and The Thornes? (Are they a part of the group? If so why did they want to join? Feel free to be as detailed as possible.)
Quinn comes from a long line of legacies. Being a Rose was more of a birthright than an opportunity for her. She loves the status being a Rose gives her, but she's determined to make her own legacy before she leaves and her first step was turning her sister, Margo, down as her Rose sister and taking Shay Abrams.
Writing Sample:
Quinn zoned out as Victoria began to talk about the joys of being a Rose. She’d heard the speech last year when she was sitting in this very room, not yet picked to be a Rose herself. Of course last year she’d had no doubt she would be. She was the ultimate legacy. There weren’t very many members of her family that hadn’t graduated from McKinley. All of the ones that had, had been Roses or Thornes. There was even a building named for her grandfather. So, really, there’d never been any doubt on her being accepted. She’d been groomed her entire life for this.
Her hazel eyes scanned the eager faces looking back at them. She wondered which she’d pick. As far as she knew, there weren’t any legacies among them. At least none that were significant. Something caught her eye and she saw Brittany waving excitedly at her and Santana. Quinn gave her a disapproving look and the blonde promptly stopped, pouting a little. Honesty, she had a long way to go before she was a Rose. Roses were poised. Brittany was still eager and untrained, like a new puppy.
Perhaps Brittany would be her little. She certainly needed some guidance. Quinn could mold her into the perfect Rose and leave the Blue Rose Family way ahead of the others. She definitely had plans for the family when she became the head. She might as well start now. Her eyes strayed from the taller girl and landed on an tan-skinned brunette that had an eager smile. Quinn made a face. God, she was practically bouncing in her seat. Shaking her head, Quinn studied her perfect appearance. It was pristine and looked brand new. This girl was not Rose material. Everything about her screamed trying too hard, from her over straightened hair to her loafers complete with pennies. Quinn almost snickered at that when her eyes traveled back to her face and locked with the girl’s.
