Morning Musume Current Lineup Pimp Post pt. 1 -- Takitty
This is a nine part crash course on the current lineup! Alright! Lets start from the top, yes?
Takahashi Ai - Leader
Name: Takahashi Ai
Nicknames Tettekete, Aichan, Takitty
Birthday: September 14, 1986
Generation: Fifth
- Takahashi is one of the most popular members, but also gets a lot of hate from fans because of how much attention she gets and how much she fails at interviews/mc segments.
- When she first joined she struggled with a strong accent. She was teased for this mercilessly on variety shows including Utaban, where one of the hosts gave her the name Tettekete for her morse code way of speaking.
- She is very close to her other Rokkies(fifth generation members), although she is close to the other girls in general.
- Even though she hasn’t always ‘emoted’ very well when she is singing, she is known for being very expressive, her reactions are always very genuine. She doesn’t try and make her laugh or smile look more idol like or her laugh more feminine, she just is Takahashi.
- If you love Takahashi’s singing, you’re in luck, she’s been in a dozen sub groups, like my personal favorite High-King which is a group whose members were picked for their dancing abilities. Their main song Cinderella Complex was used for a musical Momusu was in and Takahashi starred in.
- She loves Takarazuka, which are a group of Japanese professional actors(truthfully I don’t know a lot about them) but she can’t because of her height. She got to work with them for Ribbon no Kishi though and she apparently fangirled like crazy.
- Takahashi is a member the other girls love to love possibly because, once again, her amazing reactions.
- She gets a lot of solos and for good reason, she always throws her all into a performance. That’s one of the aspects that sets her apart from some other performers.
- Also cute Aichan, adorable Aichan, dorky Aichan, and wtf is happening?
- Takitty and Niigaki have the longest tenure in Morning Musume history, taking over Yohizawa Hitomi and Iida Kaori's records.
