Cramp

Having grown up in an age where the computer slowly had become a bigger and bigger part of life I didn't realize how out of habit I was at writing large amounts till it came to finishing up my DNA lab book today. All the experiments were in there it just required some heavy addendums, results, discussion a little background, finishing the intro and basically adding anything I've missed.

I spent four hours pouring over the damn thing, looking up info and finishing it off and by about halfway through my wrist had cramped up and my hand had gone slightly stiff. When I was doing my A-levels a couple of years ago I could write ten sides in an hour and be perfectly fine. But even with writing lecture notes everything is done on computer these days, assignments aren't accepted if they're not typed, except for things like lab books. I haven't hand written an essay in eighteen months (Enduring memories of my Psychology, Chemistry and Biology A-Level synoptic papers June 2006) so doing that much concentrated neat writing (Can't use the messy lecture note handwriting for something that has to be legible to others) I just wanted to dip it in ice a few hours ago, it's eased up a bit now.

Yesterday my lecturer tried to convince us that handing the write up for the last Analytical chem practical tomorrow would be a good idea. Sorry, pass. This week has been stressful enough without having another 1500 words to worry about. Fortunately she decided January 10th was a much more reasonable date. Thank God. Now I've got the 'Sweet I can finally have a brain meltdown headache'

I'm just glad I've finished for Christmas and just have to study for January exams.

So I can finally work on a few fanfiction projects without feeling too guilty. And relax, I've spent too many nights recently staying extremely late and getting up far too early, it's gotten so bad I keep falling asleep after I've gotten up, I'll sit down for a minute and watch something on TV then next thing I know half an hours past.

Whats really been bugging me lately though is that everything seems to have gone up in price recently, a few months ago a belgian bun cost 55p and now it's 58p. Chips that were 1.00 are now 1.20. It's really annoying especially when every penny counts.

Just got a little more Christmas shopping to do.  We're doing a secret santa at my house and we're dishing out the gifts tomorrow evening. Good thing I'm going shopping tomorrow, I still need to get something.

Winter is really settling in now, I wouldn't think of leaving the house without a scarf and gloves right now. We've also had some frost but no snow as of yet.

Going to enjoy some Toku to unwind now.
