'Tis almost the season

As much as I like my house I do have one problem with it.

It's that time of the month so as well as pain and blood I also get the munchies. Which is bad as there is nothing worse than having the munchies and there being a chip shop and an off-license literally across the road. So after a large chunk of whole nut and a bag of chips I felt much better and spent until four in the morning watching Sentai and working on various assignments.

I've been watching Gaoranger recently as that and Hurricanger are the only two series new millennium series I have not seen any of. (I plan to start on Hurricanger when I finish Gao.) Thus far I have been finding Gaoranger strange. Firstly the characters often refer to each other by colour rather than by name. This takes some getting used to, but I did find their names on Sentai Hub but it seems they are rarely used. I am not even into double figures yet so I will reserve fuller judgement but I am interested and the stories are good.

I was also re-watching bits of Magiranger. I think accomplished is the word I'd use to describe this series, it does portray the Ozu siblings very well, the movie and the team-up were entertaining. The sibling format gave the option to have a different set of stories than ones where the team is unrelated. I think Tsubasa was my favorite character.

I also managed to finish a draft of my critical analysis of Matt Ridley's Origins of Virtue last night. I visited my lecturer yesterday to have him look over my plan and what I'd written so far. He likes my ideas, lent me a copy of the Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins and told me to refine my arguement. With them I finished the essay, I think some of it is a bit confusing but I'm getting it checked by one of the support team so hopefully I can improve on it before it is due. And, with that out of the way I can focus on my Gas Chromatography assignment.

Not long till Christmas

Where has this month gone? Heck where had this semester gone?
Well two weeks left of the semester twill be the season to be jolly. I have my Advent calender, nearly all presents are purchased I just have to deal with all the customers buying computers for presents. And the cheesy Christmas album on repeat

And the Christmas work dinner tomorrow. I can already feel the headache forming.

Now I know it was the movie that ended Brad and Jenifer and brought Brad and Angelina together.

Frankly it was dull. So dull I decided to finish my DNA notes.

And on the subject of films Northern Lights known as The Golden Compass first of Philip Pullmans fantastic His Dark Materials trilogy. I can only hope it is better than Eragon.

Nine am at work tomorrow, it's not right.

magiranger, gekiranger, gaoranger, university
