God. Some days.
The work situation has somewhat detoxified with Creepy being transferred out. Still my American co-workers have stopped talking to me. We barely greet each other anymore. I do occasionally talk to a couple of others, the French-English speaker for one but it's hard knowing you're hardly going to talk to anyone at work for days on end.
There's still some issues with the schedule but it's been not so bad as quite a few of the freeters/part-timers have moved on so we're closer to minimum redundant scheduling territory than we have been for a while, but I still don't get why the manager juggles and switches things around like he does. He could save himself so much hassle if he structured the schedule and actually held clients to it. Seriously, clients can walk in and they get a lesson. They can miss their scheduled time and still get the lesson. They call to cancel at short notice and they can get the time back. It is insane. I do think there is an element of the manager forgetting things sometimes, but not to the level this is going on.
In other news, the hole in my wall is getting worse. I had it repaired a couple of years ago but the repair is cracking. I tried calling the estate agent myself but the lady seemed to not understand me. I checked the vocab, it's not like I was speaking total gibberish. I ended up hanging up and nearly crying about it. I then e-mailed the support service that helped me before my renter changed and asked them for help.
I at least managed to get a fair amount of cleaning done. There was an element of shove it out the way and forget about it for now, but whatever. I've made some desperately needed space/progress and I need to do a proper tackle of the wardrobe/cupboard anyway.
Distance DELTA applications were supposed to open yesterday (22nd April) but the website hasn't been updated. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't check the day was a Saturday and it'll go up on Monday or something. The money and everything is all ready to go. I'll have to give it a few days.
