For all I complain about University I sure do get lazy the second it finishes. I haven't done much except read 'The Red Queen' by Matt Ridley and 'Superior Saturday' by Garth Nix since I finished my exams last month. Also I have clocked up an insane number of hours on Final Fantasy 12 and still have exactly no feeling of accomplishment because it was frankly to easy and too boring. The only reason my Clan Rank is higher than my brothers is because of all my patient hours trying to eek some fun and challenge out of the damn game. Honestly Square need to up the ante for veteran players because this is just insulting.
Anyways the poor sod who had a crush on me at work left, not because of me by the way but it did give me an epiphany in that I finally worked out why I keep attracting men I would term 'Dorky'
It is because I am nice to them. And I know that sounds a little conceited but in todays day and age people are judged for their looks, hobbies, mannerisms etcetera and whilst I am highly judgmental of people privately I treat people nicely, I try not to treat people differently just because they are different, I'm mean sure I do have my bitchy moments about certain people but I try to never be outrightly damning of them, most tend to have redeeming qualities.
But it also begs the question of whether I'm setting my standards to high when it comes to the opposite sex because I can never seem to get remotely close to finding someone who I'd want to even go out with for a friendly drink.
Then again I've told the majority of people who've asked "I'm just not into dating at the moment" and to my best mate A "Not even Charles Xavier for all his mind reading prowess would be able to make sense of my neurotic needs right now so I don't see what chance a regular mortal man has"
So its probably safe to say for now I will be remaining happily single.
Sorry Nan, you're going to have to wait for those great-grand kids.
Also all the cramming (and obsessing) paid off, the late nights and surreptitious studying whilst on the counter at work obviously did the trick as I graduated my second year of university with a high 2:1. Sweet.
And alas to Toku.
The SUBTEXT, for the love of god the SUBTEXT.
That is all.
It all starting to come together, the major players are almost all in place for at least the mid part of the series but a lot of the storylines feel dragged out, most of them do not need two weeks to resolve, it is detracting from the major plots. That said there is a lot going on especially with the introduction of Mio, there is definitely more than meets the eye with her. Most of the other characters seems to have been treading water development wise and we just seem to be getting their antics and hijinks. That said most of it is entertaining.
It has definitely improved since the arrival of Miu and Yaguruma Hiroto. Whenever he's on screen I want to yell "I get it you're cool now put on a leather duster and spurs". Oh how I love Kabuto. If there is not at least one in-joke I will be very disappointed. Same goes for the duster.
Oh Takumi how wonderfully conflicted you are with your lovely hair. Seriously that was a fantastic twist in episode 34. That was awesome. More Toku like that please.
Not really sure if it is Toku or not
Liking and very well done. Could almost be a satire of our dependency on technology if it wasn't so darn lighthearted (In a good, get serious at the right times way).
Definitely not Toku
Or 'Seriously Takeru that is awesome hair!'
Emotional, believable, brilliant.
I WANT SOME GEKIUMA.
Classic.
Now finish up some writing.
