Busy week, two assignments and lots of running around for the group project, I don't even know what a lie-in is anymore.
Whats been worse is that I've had a throat infection and been on penicillin all week. As well as sorting my voice out they've given me headaches, made me freakishly tired during the day and has screwed up my sleeping pattern. But I still managed karaoke at the staff dinner on Saturday after about eight cups of green tea. It was only one song and I was drinking coffee throughout it but at least I made an effort which is more than some of the miserable buggers were doing. And I hadn't been drinking either so no dutch courage for me.
Still it was a good night with lots of free food so who am I to let it bother me?
I'm really not feeling Go-Onger at the moment. It's nice and it's fun but something about it bothers me. Can't quite put my finger on it. It's not even that its bad or theres anything particularly wrong with it. Its just.
I don't know.
On the other hand I am seriously into Kiva, thats rocking along, entertaining, interesting full of mystery with great action lots of characters and depth. Megumi still annoys me like nobody's business, why does she have to infiltrate every part of Wataru's life, if I were him I'd be running away from her, I just can't see them as a pairing, she's too upfront and willful.
That said I don't think Shizuka is going to do Wataru much good in the long run, he needs to be able to spread his wings without them nearby.
Bron-Booster in episode twelve made for some good action but I think more effort should be used to use a real unit of it and not a CGI picture as it just looks hammy. The motorbike chase was very enjoyable though and it was about time for Nago to be taken down a peg or two.
In fitness news I ran 2km in ten minutes today, that a new record for me and I didn't think I'd hit it for a few more weeks considering how little time I actually get to work out, but since I switched to fewer higher intensity workouts instead of my usual little and often ones I am seeing improvements, the whole changing your routine once in a while thing really does work.
Oh heres a little something I've been working on for a while.

Heavenly Saint Sungel also known as Hikaru looked up at the smart townhouse his wife of three years Urara told him to come to. She had been missing the surface world and home comforts and had agreed to house sit for an old friend. Why they couldn’t just stay at the Ozu residence he wasn’t quite sure.
Urara however was a woman with a mission. After receiving a letter forwarded from her childhood home she had announced that in three weeks they were going to take a sojourn to the surface world and house sit.
Having gone ahead to pick up the keys by the time Hikaru had gotten there, loaded with two suitcases Urara had waved a young woman off in a car. Awkwardly he lumbered up to meet her. They met for a quick peck before Urara relieved him of the lighter case and lead him up to a heavy wooden front door numbered 78.
She let them in. Crossing the threshold they set about exploring their temporary abode.
He counted a living room, dining room with a well kept iMac in the corner (He’d have to get Urara to show him this internet thing). Spacious kitchen, medium sized bathroom. Upstairs the master bedroom was locked but a paper note tacked to the door pointed the way to a smart guestroom with a king sized bed. He threw himself on to test the mattress. Springy. He bounced a few times only to receive a ‘god your so childish look’ from his wife. He smiled as he always did and pulled her close for a lingering kiss. It was the last one he was likely to get before her homemaking instincts kicked in.
Leaving a final peck he pulled away. Urara gave a soft smile and turned to the first of the suitcases. He drunk in the sight of his wife’s shapely form and lay back on the bed, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling. Urara left the room a bagful of toiletries in hand. Sungel stretched like a cat, sunlight filtering through window and dozed off.
Urara could not feel so relaxed. She was frustrated, irritable had stuff to do. Placing the bags on the shelf in the bathroom she removed toothbrushes, razors and body wash feeling guilty about placing them on the spotless surfaces. Of course Yukina would leave the place immaculate. No dust, no left over washing up no laundry lying around. There was a stack of magazines on the table, Science Journals that she didn’t understand and gossip rags she had no interest in.
“They’re not mine” Yukina laughed “The receptionist at work says I need to get a life, I fail to see how those help but I take them anyways.”
Sighing Urara returned to the guest room. As she expected Hikaru had fallen asleep in the afternoon sun and hadn’t started on the clothes. In fact he didn’t awake until she was almost ready to serve dinner. He was slightly rumpled, a sight she had long gotten used to. Following dinner they drunk tea and watched some television. They didn’t have one in Magitopia so it was a welcome change in pace. And then to bed.
The following morning Urara awoke with a sigh. Hikaru had long since gotten up, he rose with the sun and rarely stayed up past ten, except in the height of summer. She rolled over reaching out for the fading warmth of his side of the bed. He walked in a moment later carrying a tray of tea, toast and a posy in a vase. He always seemed to know when she woke up. He wore a brilliant smile that seemed to radiate sunshine and a pair of pyjama pants.
“Good morning”
“Morning” Urara smiled back. “Breakfast in bed?” She asked bemused “Whats the occasion?”
He sat on the edge of the bed and passed the tray to Urara’s lap. “I thought I’d do something nice to start the first day in this house.”
“Arigato”
Half an hour later Urara stepped into the shower having found the perfect temperature. Hikaru had disappeared with the empty tray, leaving the posy and vase on the bedside table. He’d given her a peck on the cheek and smiled, the smile that seemed to say ‘I love you’.
She jerked the plastic bottle containing her body wash hard. It was nice, the kisses and smiles and breakfast in bed and lovemaking, that was always romantic.
‘And unimpulsive’
That was her frustration. She loved Hikaru, the kind of love few people are lucky enough to find but he was so dull sometimes. So gentle and slow and predictable. And whilst she couldn’t deny it, the sex was good she wouldn’t entirely mind if he occasionally pushed her up against the wall and ‘took her hard’ so to speak. Which was part of the reason she had planned this little holiday when Yukina could have simply left the key with a neighbour (She always did have a wicked side), she needed the privacy, not exactly the thing to do, be driving your husband wild whilst siblings and parents are in close proximity.
She snickered a little, she had some shopping to do.
“Hikaru, I’m going out” Was all the warning he got as she slipped out the door whilst he was in the lounge. It would be a bit difficult to go shopping for sexy underpinnings when your husband is present.
A short bus ride into town and Urara gave a big sigh of anticipation.
‘Lets to this’
It took ten minutes to work up the courage to walk into the first shop, a large chain underwear store and another fifteen to walk into the sexier, racier section of the shop.
She browsed through the suspenders and various other apparel before picking up a pair of light blue French knickers, they were lacy but somehow sweet and demure. She also chose the matching bra.
One shop down.
Next was a boutique Houka was a fan of. Not that she’d ever tell Kaa-san but still Houka absolutely raved about the place so it couldn’t hurt to look.
Some of the items there were further away from demure than what she’d seen of Houka’s in the wash so feeling a little more confident she’d find something that suited her tastes she plunged in and was soon rewarded, a silky sunshine yellow nightie.
‘Perfect’ And in the opposite isle was a selection of rather lovely wrap round dressing gowns finishing above the knee. The white one appealed to her most so she picked that up. She whirled around the section seeing if anything else caught her eye.
White court heels, a silk rose adorning the front of the shoe.
‘I can’t believe I’m doing this’ She thought, giggling. Whilst she queued she rummaged through a box of sale stock turning up a pair of sky blue stockings.
‘Perfect’ She dropped them into her basket. Hikaru won’t know what hit him.
Later…
Urara stumbled noisily over the threshold of her temporary home. Goodbye to any chance of surprising Hikaru later she groused. Ready to smile and hopefully distract him she shut the front door and waited a moment for him to appear.
Nothing.
Maybe the Saints were doing her a favour. Smiling a ‘Thank You’ to the Heavens she gathered up her things and headed upstairs. She bypassed the bedroom where they were sleeping incase Hikaru was having an afternoon nap, he was like a cat sometimes in the afternoon sun and using her elbow opened the door into the smallest room of the house.
It was half study, half guestroom with a futon folded neatly into the corner and a fake wood desk pushed into the opposite wall complete with a bargain store swivel chair. Urara doubted this room was used much seeing the very smart looking iMac downstairs. She was also sure the Yukina had a laptop, after all Mac didn’t support half the programmes she used but assumed she must have taken it with her.
She would have to refresh her memory of internet usage later, despite Hikaru’s reasonable track record with human technology (except for toasters. He’d once claimed the Ozu’s household unit had tried to bite him) she didn’t want him racing down the information superhighway without a little knowledgeable supervision.
But alas to the task at hand.
Changing carefully into her new clothing, finishing with the dressing gown and choosing to put the heels on downstairs she checked her appearance in the small mirror and with a quick glamour evened out her skin tone, added a touch of eye shadow, mascara and a warm, inviting lipstick.
Hikaru wouldn’t know what hit him. Urara giggled again, what was it with her today and padded out of the room, heels in hand. After ensuring he wasn’t in the house she resigned herself to waiting in the living room a cup of tea and a slice of fruit cake for company.
It was perhaps an hour later when he returned by Travellion no less. Slipping into her new shoes Urara strolled out to the hallway.
“Hi-ka-ru” She said playfully to catch his attention.
“Ura…ra” He said slowly, eyes disbelieving.
Slowly and shyly she walked up to him, played with the collar of his shirt whilst he silently watched her every move and expression.
“Hikaru hun, I have a challenge for you” She said looking intently at his arm and playing with his shirt sleeve.
“What is it Urara love?”
‘Hook, line’ “Well I was thinking twenty four hours, seven orgasms. Three Oral, four not in bed and one involving water, you up to it?” She looked him in the eye, pouting, teasing.
“Well” He said blushing “Who am I to deny you?”
‘Sinker’ She smiled and he lent down to kiss her.
I also finally got round to taking my glasses in for repair. Since the frames were busted and it was a manufacture fault I got them replaced free of charge. Sweet. And these new ones are working out great.
