Good Times Not in Edmonds (Mostly)

Oct 18, 2008 22:58

So it's been a pretty awesome couple of days, actually. I mean, overall. There were bits of excessive suck BUT they were balanced out by good things.

FRIDAY:
Picture taking adventure, featuring the installation art on Broadway! (Go see it before Halloween!!!)
Sixteen minute math test.
Was JUST in time for a bus.
Was JUST in time for another bus.
Missed a bus.
Was a good samaritan and removed some object that flew out of a car from the 220th and 84th intersection while waiting for the last bus.
ACTUAL work - more than two hours for the first time in weeks!
Went and introduced myself to Edmonds free trade shop lady - will start volunteering soon!
Was generally addicted to Yahoo! free games.

SATURDAY:
Jake!
Rachael!
More friends!
Cookie!
Most delicious hot beverage place EVER (...I forgot the name...but it's right next to Zanadu in the U District!).
General frolicking.
Waylaid by other people shopping (horrible except for Cookie's indie costume).
Thai food, which is meh.
Tim!
Buying Jake American Apparel booty shorts.
Casey, by coincidence!
Alicia!
Lounging around the UW fountain watching people go to the game.
SQUIRREL CORNERING.
Starbucks adventure!
More Yahoo! free games.
Greek food dinner and movie with father, because that's what we do.
Lost keys again, pissed off mother.

Squirrel cornering is possibly the most amazing passtime of anything ever. Especially when supposedly fearless UW squirrels are involved. Jake and Cookie and I are pro at squirrel cornering.

AND CHAI FROM CAFE THAT STARTS WITH A "T" IS THE MOST DELICIOUS THING IN THE WORLD.

In other news, I've realized that the only friends I have around here anymore are male, and that's why I think I have no female friends...because ALL OF THEM ARE ELSEWHERE, MOSTLY ACROSS THE FUCKING COUNTRY. *sigh* I need to make new friends by so much.

adventure, coffee
