We bought a grey bunny on a Sunday and named her Sumatra.

The Name
Boyfriend's excited. He calls her "practice" (for other animals and munchkins known as Kids?) and "heeey budddy." I shortened her name (from Sumatra, my favorite blend, suggested by Boyfriend) to Sumi so that it'd be easier for her to take to.

The Bunny
I'm not sure but I think she's a Lop bunny and apparently they're kind of aggressive. Her previous owner seemed pretty nice, but they had dogs that barked a lot and scared her. Sumi has been skirting around corners and has taken to chewing carrots and our kitchen table. Since we rely on public transportation, it's good that bunny food is about a mile away. She's let us pet her some and get close to her.

The Bunny Pent{Play}house

......a cardboard playhouse. She loves gnawing on the Capri Sun box that's stuffed with hay and torn paper. Sumi's trying to use the hatch to figure how to climb on top of her cage and the table with the coffee pot. Unfortunately, she's still gnawing on the furniture. Mischievous girl.

So it's back to her cage and naptime. After naptime in a covered cage, she's much more docile. As a reward, I gave her a carrot and a "security blanket" (I.E,  an old dish towel that she lays on and nibbles. No swallowing though, bad for bunny.)
