Weekend: February 13th - 15th.

Feb 16, 2010 18:03

Well, it seems like the good weekends keep on coming. Had a meeting for the next short film, mini-Beatles party, Pizza Shuttle, Rocky Horror Picture Show, sleepovaz, and hung out at Brewing Grounds for a bit. No complaints here.

Friday, February 12th

Had a half day at school. Afterwards, came home and watched The Collector and Cabin Fever 2.

Then around 4, went over to Kyle's so we could head out to Quinn & Ouchie's place for the weekly meeting.

This time, we went over the script for Bitter Berry Bliss, a short that we'll be starting next week. There's only 4 / 5 days of shooting and it's already cast. It's basically about a few guys hanging around town on one of their birthdays, doing a bunch of drugs...with a lot of Beatles references. Should be fun.

Then we did what we do every time we're there...sing "Twist and Shout" at the top of our lungs.

It was a very Beatles-filled evening.

Not sure how this is Chris...

Good eveningggg.

Came home, took a nap, talked with Amber, online stuff, sleeeeep.

Saturday, February 14th

Woke up around 11 or so. Watched a movie or two I believe. Amber came over for a bit before she had to work. We chilled for a bit and she went to work. I ended up going over to the YMCA for a while. Then I came home, showered, and Amber got back from work. We were originally planning on going to the Twisted Fork or Pizza Shuttle out on the Eastside...but then I remembered that The Rocky Horror Picture Show was playing that night over at The Oriental so we decided on that too.

First, we went to Target so she could find some clothes for the evening. Then over to our friend, Sarah's, so she could pick up some pretzels, then out to Milwaukee. We got down there pretty easily and found a parking spot surprisingly quick. Enter the Pizza Shuttle...

mmmmm...

Walked over to the theater (isn't she cuteeee)

Waited in line for about ten minutes.

I didn't take too many pictures. I was just going to find some on their website but they didn't upload them yet. They did a bunch of talking and games beforehand and didn't end up starting until like 1:00 or so. It was quite a bit of fun, though I admit, neither Amber or I had quite enough energy that night to compete with the rest of the audience. We headed out a bit early because I didn't want her to fall asleep driving. We got home, made our bed, and headed to sleep around 4:30 or so.

Sunday, February 15th

We woke up around 11:00, watched V for Vendetta, and she headed out around 2. I sat around for much of the afternoon, not sure what to do. I had already taken off work because I thought we'd be chilling that evening but she wanted to go home early. Besides, last year, Valentine's Day was the busiest day of the year...so I wasn't exactly in a hurry to see if they needed anyone.

I called a few people to see if they wanted to chill. Most were either busy or didn't answer. Maxie did, though. So she came over and we chilled for a bit.

Drivin' to G'town.

We went over to Robert's to get some ice cream for her grandma...as well as us. I got a Butterfinger Shake. Afterwards, we went to Hollywood Video because they were going out of business and had salezzz. I got:

We went over to her place for a bit and contemplated what to do. We found out Jennell and Crystal were working so we headed out the Eastside and visited them at Brewing Grounds for Change. If anyone's ever in the Milwaukee area, you should stop there. It's a 100% fair trade coffee shop and they have live music pretty frequently and the workers / volunteers are cool and good foodz.

homemade glue.

I brought the lemonheads. Crystal brough warm apple cobbler which we all snacked on.

Community journallll.

...Crystal hates squirrels.

Really, she does.

I find this extremely hilarious.

Driving homeeee.
