[There's a young woman walking down the street, oblivious to the weather, furiously scribbling in a notebook. After a few moments she pauses, makes a face, and tears the page out.]

No, no, that will not work at all...

[She shakes her head and starts to write again. She doesn't seem to notice anything else around her.]

[Have a pause as Tara tries to make this image work in her brain-space.]

[Willow continues to be absorbed in her work, but looks up at the sound of Tara's voice, a little startled. She frowns a little bit, coming to a stop.]

Yes? Hello? [Tara can probably hear the remnants of a French-sounding accent. It's also easy to tell she doesn't recognise Tara.]

I cannot seem to make anything sound suitable. The words seem free and true in my head, but harsh and disjointed when translated to paper.

Perhaps that's wise. It has been a long day. [And she hasn't even gotten around to the absinthe yet.]

Do you have a place to stay?

[Tara is kind of enjoying this. Maybe a little. I mean, it's not her Willow but she's not homicidal and/or morose, either. Non-negative feelings are good!]

Not really. Generally, I drift. It's hard to make an honest living out of this- [she gestures at her notebook] -some days.

Do you need somewhere to put up for the night?

Well- if you are offering, it would be rude to say no. [She smiles at her.] My name is Willow.

And so is yours. [A pause as she closes her notebook, finally, and pockets it.] Shall we?
