[And Willow is finally waking up from, well, being dead. The communicator is lying on the bedside table as she sits up, wincing a little. There is a visible scar from her shoulder blade down, which was... well, a giant hole a few days ago. She looks a lot paler than usual, taking this into a account. After a few moments of regaining her bearings,  ( Read more... )

[Fred is in the room, paying attention to her laptop until she hears Willow stirring. As soon as she sees that, she closes down her program and stands, walking closer to Willow's bed.]

Hey, Willow. [Her voice is gentle but hesitant. She doesn't really know what to say.]

How are you feeling? Can I get you anything? Some water? Anything? I just said 'anything' twice, didn't I? Sorry.

[Willow looks up, attempts another smile - which, seriously, she should probably just stop doing - and is about to say 'nothing' before she realises how raspy her throat is sounding.]

Hi, Fred. Um. Some water would be nice. [This would be usually where the stupid comment would go, but Willow's brain isn't working so well in the humour department right now.]

[Fred nods and starts moving toward the door, thinking they should have had that ready.]

All right. I'll be back in a jiff, okay? Kitchen's just down the hall.

[She thought of adding more information to that, but- geez, no reason to overwhelm her right away. Water-getting is good, and she'll answer questions when she gets back. She walks quickly down the hall, hoping to get back as soon as possible.]

Right. Sure thing. [Willow stares down at her hands, now beginning to notice the humongous scar on her upper body. Well, damn. There was no way she'd be able to forget what happened so easily - not that it would've been exactly easy, anyway.

She's a little confused as to where she is currently, but Fred's here, so she's guessing that they came to get her. She's grateful for this more than anything else.]

[Fred is back almost immediately, carrying a glass. She sets it down on the table next to Willow, then pulls up a chair next to her and sits.]

You're in Angel's mansion, right now. We've got tons of extra rooms.

Um...how are you feeling?

[Willow takes a huge gulp of water, processing her first statement. Angel's mansion. Well, that made sense - it definitely didn't look like an apartment.]

I'm feeling - a little kablooey, really. My head's a little fuzzy at the moment, I think.

[action] supercompacted November 11 2009, 03:08:37 UTC
Yeah, kablooey is- that's understandable. Hopefully the head-fuzz will clear up a bit soon, but if not I can get you some pain-killers?

If there's anything I can do to help you feel a little less- [She approximates exploding with one hand.] -just ask, okay? I'm not sure how long the disorientation's gonna last.

And if you want to talk, I'd be happy to talk, but if you want me to be quiet, I'm good at that, too- I promise.

It's not the pain part that's kablooey. It's more like... the terrible confusion and, um, waking up. See, I kind of now understand why usually you're not supposed to. Wake up, I mean. After.

[Willow shakes her head] No, talking is good. Talking helps. I'm not sure about a good conversation-starter, though.

[Fred laughs a little at that.] Oh, really, don't worry about conversation-starting. I'm pretty good at those, even if they're kinda out of left field sometimes. A lot of times.

But- yeah, I understand the weirdness of waking up. It was like that for me, too, when I first got her. I just- it's weird. And heavy. But it gets better, after you get used to it a little.

[She bites her lip and sighs, feeling like she should apologize. But that won't help anything right now.]

So there's a weird curse going on right now, where people are fighting a war or something- we're in City bounds, so it's safe, but don't be surprised if you look at the Network and it's really odd at the moment.

[There's a topic that's not about your horrible death, Willow, if you'd rather be distracted away from that right now.]

[Willow doesn't exactly understand what Fred had meant by that first statement. She knew that Cordelia was dead when she came here, but being from her pre-evil days and before she'd properly visited L.A, she was way out of the loop concerning anything that had happened there.]

I wondered about the few entries I'd seen. They seemed... um, a little weird. But at least it keeps 'em busy, I guess. Except... I don't exactly understand how everyone got all these minions to help them. It's a little unfair.

[Rambling about this topic is go! Yes, it's a good distraction.]

It really is. It just unbalance the fighting- although I suppose that the deities probably aren't too concerned with 'fair', considering. But it just makes me think of what would happen were the minions fairly distributed. I mean, I would sort of like minions- not as like...an army of doom, but it'd just be sort of cool, y'know?

Anyway, I'm sure the curse'll be over tomorrow, and everyone will get their heads back on straight. And then there'll be the post-curse apologizing phase, and then we'll wait for the next one. I sure hope there's a nice thanksgiving-themed one in our future somewhere. It just feels like they should be a little lighter on us, considering last month...and the month before.

[ooc: Oh, typos, I hate you so. That was meant to say "when I first got here", but whatcha gonna do? This is a good indication sleep is imminent, though. >_>; ]

Yeah. I mean. The minions could just do all your housework for you while you stayed inside and avoided all the bloodshed. That would be a pretty good way to spend the curse, really.

Post-curse apologising phase. I kind of like reading the entries, then. Not that I haven't been post-curse apologise-y before. [like lol when she was a vampire, for instance] But thanksgiving would be nice. As long as there are no vengeful Native Americans around. [hey, this is making it a lot easier to pretend she's totally okay, at least]

[ooc: haha, I totally didn't notice until you just pointed it out! XD And go to sleep, bb ♥♥]

[ Having been listening just outside the door the last couple minutes, Wesley has to shake his head a bit. Only these two would chatter about minions and turkey day in the face of death. Fred really would have fit in well with the Sunnydale crew. It's easy to see why she and Willow always got along so well.

After a few more moments, he turns and walks off without making his presence known. Fred has this handled, and he's sure Lorne will also show up soon. He really isn't good at this sort of thing, and will probably bring the mood down, so he'll check on Willow at a later date. ]

[ Fred notices Wesley as he's leaving, and decides not to pull him back in here. After all, he's probably working on things- which she feels like she should be doing, as well. But right now- really, Willow needs something decent right now, and maybe Fred can provide that. Wes can keep working. ]

I haven't had the need to apologize yet, thank goodness, but I'm sure my time's coming. It's how it goes around here. At least it happens to pretty much everyone, so we're all pretty okay with accepting the apologies. I kind of like reading the entries then, too- like we can all get back to normal.

Oh, and Thanksgiving! You should come here for this year's- I...don't actually know if anyone here knows how to cook a turkey, but we can all give it a shot. I can pretty much guarantee there won't be any vengeful Native Americans, except I really shouldn't say that and jinx myself, should I? But we can have pie and fresh-baked rolls and all that stuff.

Hey, you could always pray to get one of the nice curses. I mean. There are ones that are hilarious, like marrying somebody random or thinking you're a princess. The apology need's still there, but at least it's all laughs, right?

Well... at the Thanksgiving we celebrated, I wasn't in charge of the turkey. But I'm sure we can still manage. What's so hard about sticking one in the oven with some herbs? So long as the kitchen doesn't go up in flames, I'm sure we'll be fine. And without Native Americans to curse anyone with syhpilis, even better.

Syphilis? [ slight eyebrow raise here ] Did you have someone crash your Thanksgiving before? That's just mean. If we get that this time, I'll be filing a formal complaint, believe me.
