Hi there amazing person! Thank you for taking the time to read this :) I'm really excited to take part in this exchange, as I often find songs and music videos a great source of inspiration. I hope the info below is useful.
Some tropes I like in fic: Character studies, Soulmate AUs, Seemingly Unrequited Pining, Rivalmancy, Friends to Lovers, Magic/Superpower/Fantasy AUs, Found Families.
Things I would not like: extreme gore or violence, mpreg, kidfic, humiliation, abusive relationships, rape.
Windy Day:
I chose this music video because it is beautifully crafted and gives an air of magic and mystery, both of which I enjoy immensely! The Spring feel of the environment and song remind me of some sort of fairytale. I'd be curious if there is perhaps a story behind them being/living in the forest, or some association with them transforming into deer. Are they faeries or something similar?
Skydive:
Ah this music video is so dramatic in such a short space of time, and because of this I feel there is so much that can be explored within and surrounding the storyline. My particular curiosity lies with Jongup's character, since by the end of the video it's clear that he has all the Aces in his hand, but he also seems like a wild, unpredictable character with a dramatic past. Why did he decide to do it? What was his life like before he met everyone? Not to mention who is the seemingly calm and collected Youngjae who killed a man with a dart?! Possibilities, possibilities..
Chase Me:
This music video caught my eye through it's feminine charm and mystery. It's rare for female idol groups to take on horror type concepts, and this style reminded me a lot of one of my other favourites, Hate You by Ladies Code. I wonder what type of creatures they are, how they became that way, and what they do in their spare time....
Fighter:
This video is a beautiful eclectic mix of stunning visuals and endless scenarios, all of which conjure up ideas of where they might fit. My favourite scenes are where they are running through corridors, but smiling (especially Changkyun) and what on earth is that machine Wonho built? I love the video as a standalone, but since the comeback was part of a trilogy, I wonder if it has any connection to All In and Beautiful?
We Know the Way:
Finally, I chose this song because it is beautiful and inspiring, and I think it could apply to just about any journey in someone's life. Are they returning home after a long battle/university? Have they discovered a new world where they finally feel like they fit in? Are they watching someone else live out their life in another dimension through some kind of seeing mirror?
What I have said above may or may not help, but hopefully it has given you a little insight into why I chose my requested songs/mvs! <3
