hey all. not dead. i know no one cares but i thought i'd just drop in and say something. been very preoccupied for some time now, in the time that led up to my brother's wedding (which was lovely), and now i'm settling into a somewhat normal routine. been drawing and sewing. spending too much time drawing, actually, 'cause i'm participating in what i believe is my sister's first art jam on deviantArt. long story. but there aren't many people in it, and they actually seem to have dropped out... anyway i didn't want her jam to be so empty, so i committed.
so my first batch of messenger bags and ladies' purses made from recycled jeans and clothing are now, i think, in my brother's store. i haven't gotten many updates from him, and not surprisingly, since he's been on his honeymoon. i have a new batch started, still very small because like i said, i've been preoccupied w/ preparing for the wedding. now there is no excuse and i need to buckle down and work. got a little ladies' shoulder bag done, it's made of red corduroy; rather proud of it. pics will prob go up on dA. got one messenger bag done and mostly finished w/ another one. dunno how i'm going to make the next messenger bag, b/c i'm running out of suitable liner materials. i'll have to scrounge around. i always seem to manage. also, i'm gonna make a sweater for the dog, because even though most consider her a large dog, and it is usually small dogs who suffer in the cold, we have noticed she is pretty vulnerable to outside temperatures. so i'm making her something warm for the winter, so that we can still take her on long walks. she needs excersize, yanno?
so... yeah. that's it for now. off to work on the newest messenger bag. once i'm a little more awake, that is. hopefully these carbs will hit me soon.
